Some of Hollywood's most celebrated Latino actors, actresses, and musicians gathered in LA last night for the 2013 American Latino Media Arts Awards, which honoured Latinos in the entertainment industry. First created in 1995, the ALMA Awards coincide with National Hispanic Heritage Month, and this year's show was co-hosted by Mario Lopez and Eva Longoria, who sported several different looks throughout the night. Honorees included Robert Rodriguez, Carlos Santana, and Rosario Dawson, who earned the outstanding commitment to cause and community award, plus Wilmer Valderrama, who was presented with the outstanding social activism award in a pre-show telecast. The live show also featured presenters like Jessica Alba, Christina Milian, and Modern Family's Rico Rodriguez. 11-year-old Sebastien De La Cruz sang the national anthem, while artists like Aloe Blacc and the group Quetzal also took the stage to perform. Take a look at some of the best the pictures from last night's special event!
Washington DC was flooded with famous faces over the weekend for the 2013 presidential inauguration! The celebrities were more than happy to share their snaps through social media.
Alicia Keys' husband, Swizz Beatz, gushed over his hug with President Barack Obama during The Inaugural Ball. Katy Perry and John Mayer were also at the Ball and snapped a quick photo with Eric Benet and his daughter. At the swearing-in ceremony, Beyoncé Knowles sang the national anthem — it has since been reported that she lip-synched — but not before she got a quick pic with her mum, Tina. Wilmer Valderrama sat in the audience in front of the US Capitol to watch Obama give his big speech.

Some of the international names who were flown in for the launch party of Sydney’s Marquee nightclub on Friday night took the opportunity to see some of Sydney Harbour on a boat ride yesterday. Paris Hilton, whose boyfriend DJ Afrojack provided some entertainment on Friday, stripped down to a printed cut-out one-piece and sunned herself on the deck. She also caught up with Sharni Vinson, who boarded with her camera-toting beau Kellan Lutz. Joe Jonas wore another bright pink top for the outing and chatted with Wilmer Valderrama, who seemed to be his purple carpet buddy at the Marquee opening. Other stars such as Nick and Vanessa Lachey and Ashlee Simpson flew out of the country on Saturday — Ashlee rushed home to make sure she didn’t miss the birth of her sister Jessica Simpson’s baby!
The opening night of Marquee, the brand new nightclub at The Star in Pyrmont, Sydney, brought out some of the biggest names in Hollywood and Australia. Local stars kicked things off on the purple carpet at 8:30 p.m., where they posed for photos and spoke with media. The super-bright lights had a sweltering effect on many of the celebrities, who tried to keep cool and headed straight into the club after their press duties. We spoke to heaps of the stars on their way in, including Jodi Gordon, Ricki-Lee Coulter, Erin McNaught, Laura Csortan, Rebecca Breeds and Luke Mitchell, Erika Heynatz and more — most of them were looking forward to music from Afrojack and LMFAO’s Red Foo, and a few said they were excited to see will.i.am, who will hit the decks for tonight’s public opening.
At around 10 p.m. the international stars arrived — Isabel Lucas told us, “I was excited to come because I was allowed to bring my dad. We’ve had a really lovely time. I haven’t come to Sydney for quite a while. It will be good to spend time with friends.” Inside the party we saw her hanging with former Home and Away co-star Rhys Wakefield. She also revealed that she’ll be participating in Earth Hour tonight at 8:30. Nick Lachey stayed close to his pregnant wife Vanessa, who was glowing in a loose-fitting black and white dress. A super-sparkly Paris Hilton, dressed in Rachel Gilbert, worked her signature poses against the media wall and was rushed inside ahead of boyfriend Afrojack’s set. Wilmer Valderrama and Joe Jonas hit the purple carpet at the same time and did some of their interviews together, while we spotted Ashlee Simpson and Minka Kelly — who both indulged in some retail therapy on Oxford St earlier in the day — sitting together inside the venue.
Kellan Lutz told us he goes to Marquee in Vegas “all the time” when he’s there, and that he was keen to hit the dance floor with girlfriend Sharni Vinson, saying, “I’m lucky enough to be dating one of the best dancers in the world.” Aje-clad Sharni hadn’t been to a Marquee club before and joked that her dress presented “certain barriers” when it came to dancing. She added, “The vibe is already huge, so I’m feeling it’s going to be a great night.”
To celebrate the opening of Marquee in Sydney, a star-studded VIP party is being thrown tonight. And when we say star-studded, we mean heaps of Hollywood stars have flown in just for the bash. Marquee, a $20 million nightclub that’s already a celebrity hotspot in Vegas, is opening at The Star in Pyrmont, and joining local stars such as Erin McNaught, Isabel Lucas, Jodi Gordon, Didier Cohen and Alex Perry are the likes of Paris Hilton, Nick and Vanessa Lachey, Ashlee Simpson, Kellan Lutz and Sharni Vinson, Abbie Cornish, Joe Jonas, Slash, Minka Kelly, Wilmer Valderrama and more. Paris’ boyfriend Afrojack and the LMFAO’s Red Foo will also be hitting the decks to DJ, so you can imagine that if there’s any party anyone wants to be at tonight, it’s this one! The venue opens to the public tomorrow, with will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas on hand for music duties. Lots of the visiting celebs have already arrived in Sydney — see who got snapped at the airport!
Some of TV's most popular actors made appearances at today's inaugural Critics' Choice Television Awards. The festivities were held at the Beverly Hills Hotel to honour shows across categories that included reality, comedy and drama. Cougar Town stars Courteney Cox and Busy Philipps were both on hand for the luncheon, and cable series were also well represented, with Sam Trammell attending ahead of True Blood's season four premiere in June in the US. Jon Hamm and Christina Hendricks from Mad Men were also there, and she picked up the very first honour of the afternoon, splitting the award for best supporting actress in a drama series with Justified actor Margo Martindale. Jon followed suit shortly after when when he was announced as the winner of best lead actor in a drama series. Fans of the show have a while longer to wait before Don Draper and his cohorts return to TV. New episodes are expected to be absent from the airwaves until March of 2012, though filming resumes next month.
It wasn’t just about the Fox Upfront today — the Hilton Hotel in New York City played host to NBC’s presentation, which included stars such as Tina Fey, Elle Macpherson and Christina Aguilera. Returning shows like Parenthood and 30 Rock were well-represented while new shows got their time to shine — some of the ones we’re hoping come to Aussie screens include Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea starring Laura Prepon and based on Chelsea Handler’s book, and Smash, which is supposed to be NBC’s answer to Fox’s Glee.
GQ rounded up some of Hollywood's hottest men in LA last night to celebrate its annual Men of the Year issue. Taylor Lautner suited up for the black carpet along with James Franco, who mentioned that his mustache is for a new role. James Marsden looked dapper too, and he stopped to chat with Pop US about how he'd nominate his wife for Babe of the Year. That honour has already gone to Scarlett Johansson, who you think deserves props for her look about as much as her Sexiest Man Alive husband, Ryan Reynolds. Scarlett and Ryan both skipped yesterday's party, but some other honorees from People's latest list turned out. Kellan Lutz covered his abs and True Blood stud Joe Manganiello was likewise dressed up.
The fun continued inside the Chateau Marmont for some loved-up couples like Anna Faris and Chris Pratt, Channing Tatum and his wife, Jenna Dewan, and the recently married Dave Annable and Odette Yustman. Krysten Ritter celebrated wrapping up work with Kate Bosworth on BFF & Baby by saying hello to Sam Page, the new hottie on Gossip Girl and Mad Men, while Aziz Ansari could hardly contain his enthusiasm at chilling with Jesse Eisenberg. Twilight's Taylor practiced his flirting with Jaime King, as Boardwalk Empire's Michael Pitt stuck by his co-star Steve Buscemi. James Franco spent a minute chatting with Mark Ruffalo, who told Pop US on the way in that he's thankful this year for being employed as a relatively older actor.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is a party of one once again. News broke this weekend that she’d split with her Ghost Whisperer co-star Jamie Kennedy after about a year of dating. The apparent reason was those pesky “conflicting schedules.” Jennifer started dating Jamie soon after she called off her engagement to Ross McCall in January 2009. Is it just me or does girlfriend seem to go through the boyfriends? It’s like she’s never alone. A quick look back at her dating history reveals that she’s been romantically linked with Joey Lawrence, Carson Daly, Wilmer Valderrama, John Mayer, Stephen Dorff, John Cusack, Kip Pardue, Ross McCall, Jamie Kennedy and...Shaggy. Yes, the “It Wasn’t Me” rapper. Seriously? And those are just boyfriends who are somewhat famous, I didn’t even include regular dudes she's dated. Jennifer is only 31. Maybe it’s time to take a little break and spend some time alone. What do you think? Is Jennifer a serial dater or is she just sewing her wild oats?
