1st Look: Zanita and 4th and Bleeker Get Dirty for Neuw's New Campaign

Take two blonde Australian models-turned-fashion-bloggers. Remove them both from the SLR cameras that are usually superglued to their sides. Slip them into some seriously sexy denim. Pop them on Sydney's heritage listed, industrial-wonderland Cockatoo Island and let snapper Darren McDonald do his worst. Et voila! You have the ingredients for one dangerously sexy campaign shoot. Neuw Denim did just that.

The boys behind the brand, Rich and Par, were inspired by the historical appeal of the original denim and canvas work trousers worn by goldminers in the 1800s. The 'Goldmine' A/W collection showcases Neuw's deft hand with treatment denim and recut vintage styles. Double-dying, hand-distressed details, authentic wear patterns and metallic coatings make these jeans anything but ordinary. Zanita Morgan from Zanita, and Alexandra Spencer from 4th and Bleeker really do bring their gritty best to the shoot. We Talk (RMK) Shoes with Zanita Morgan

We took the opportunity to quiz model-turned-snapper-turned-blogger Zanita Morgan on all things shoes. RMK shoes, to be exact. Zanita shot the S/S '12 RMK campaign, starring Aussie supe' in the making Anja Konstantinova in her home town of Melbourne. The shots are the perfect mix of gritty/pretty; Anja's endless legs combined with Zanita's effortless aesthetic (and some killer new season shoes!) resulting in a campaign we could happily lose ourselves in over a cup of tea. Ms Morgan may currently be soaking up the sunshine in Europe, but that didn't stop us hitting her up via email about her personal shoe shopping habits, her footwear faux pas and about splashing the cash on heels that count. 2012 MBFWA: What's Up With That?

Fashion week is done and dusted for another year (sob), but we're still talking about the top line shows, backstage blunders and fash-pack gossip. We thought we'd share some of the highlights, and lowlights, of the crazy week that was Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia.

No toilet paper in the downstairs ladies. On day one. At 9am.
Napoleon's latest Birkin inspired some major handbag envy. This year's addition to his collection was BIG, and deep chocolate. Yum.
Blogger-mania! There were more online media types than mag-girls than ever before, causing a social media jam of Tweeting/Facebooking/Instagramming (yes, us included!).
Yes, fashion people do eat. The teeny, tiny salad portions at the upstairs cafe that barely touched the sides. More generous portions would be appreciated next year, per favore.
Daily sartorial inspiration from the Sun Herald's Kate Waterhouse, Emma Read from Grazia, Allanah Pickup from Cosmopolitan, Genevra Vanderzeil from A Pair and a Spare and snapper extraordinaire Candice Lake, who managed to look impeccable day after day.

It's nice when others start to recognise what we've known for a long time; Australia has some brilliant designers. Shopbop is firmly in our corner, shining the shopping spotlight on some of our home-grown fashion heroes in their 'Australian Story' look book . It's an all Aussie collaboration, employing snapper Benny Horne, model Bambi Northwood-Blyth and guest edited by the lovely Zanita. And the threads? Stand-out pieces from sass & bide, Willow, Ksubi, Zimmermann, Dion Lee, Bec & Bridge all made the grade. We were lucky enough to quiz Shopbop's fashion director Kate Ciepluch on the e-tailer's Antipodium angle.
