We've come to know her best for her milky, flawless skin and penchant for dark lipstick, but it was Rooney Mara's unusually sculpted up 'do and curved faux fringe at the 2013 Los Angeles Film Festival screening of IFC, that caught our eye. Rooney paired her striking hairstyle with the perfect Winter colour combo — navy blue threads and black, glossy nails. Do you like her daring 'do?

Royal Canadian Tour: Check Out Kate Middleton's Ponytail!

We thought (ok, hoped) Kate Middleton might change up her beauty and fashion style for the North American tour, but not only have we seen her don an elegant up 'do, whaddya know it, yesterday at the Province House in Charlottetown she pulled another hat out of the bag. Kate's hair was brushed back into a pony tied in the middle of her head, with her long locks left flowing in barrel waves, complete with a small strand of hair wrapped around the base acting as a hairband. While she's continued to work her signature makeup routine — rosy cheeks, check, brown eyeliner, check, pale pink lip, check — we loved seeing the Duchess' hair in this relaxed, low-mainty style. You, too?
Scope Kate Middleton's Canadian Tour Beauty Looks!
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge kicked off the first leg of their North American tour, arriving in Canada late last week. Kate's been looking fresh-faced and relaxed while attending functions and events with Prince William and we were chuffed to see her change up her hairstyles a little. Our top picks were the gorgeous half-up, half-down softly curled style with tiny tortoiseshell clips at the crown of her head, and the relaxed up 'do with height at the front and combed back with loose curls pinned in. Check out Kate's Canadian style and let us know — which is your favourite look?
G'Day USA Face-Off: Abbie Cornish vs Rachael Taylor
We do love a good beauty face-off and we haven't had one for a while — not since Leighton and Gwyneth at the Country Strong screening. And what a way to kick off 2011 with a battle of the Aussies in the form of the two stunners Abbie Cornish and Rachael Taylor, sporting teased up do's and neutral makeup. Abbie's gone for a little more height at the front, teamed with brown smoky eyes and a soft pink lipstick, whereas Rachael's hair is more slicked back and she's all bare-faced and gorgeous with just a subtle eyeshadow and a dash of gloss. Is it just me, or do they look almost exactly the same? I'm stumped, so I'm turning the tables to you. Who wins?
