Bower birds wanting a bling injection can now get their hot little hands on SJP's lustrous pearl-and-diamanté collar (as worn in SATC2) by Otazu Designs. While it's definitely red-carpet and after-five worthy, we think it's more fun and whimsical for day. Throw it on with a white tee and distressed denim for brunch with the girls. Otazu Designs Carrie necklace, $465. For stockist queries go to www.libertajewel.com.
Sarah Jessica Parker continues to show support for Alexander McQueen in a showstopping printed gown from the late designer's pre-Fall collection. The whimsical floral print and lavender-infused colours are perfect for SJP's bold style. I'm particularly loving her quirky mix of mismatched accessories. The girl did good! Do you agree?
When you’ve been playing a character with a treasure trove of a shoe closet for more than 10 years, the fantastic footwear is bound to work its way into real life. Sarah Jessica Parker has been spotted wearing these Nicholas Kirkwood suede platforms three times in the past week. Their first appearance was at the after-party for the New York premiere of Sex and the City 2, where she wore them with her sexy lace Elie Saab dress; then she went for a smart, snazzy look at David Letterman; and on the weekend she landed in Japan and teamed the heels with her casual travel ’fit.
Which of SJP’s Nicholas Kirkwood looks do you think is most Fab?
Kristen, Cynthia, SJP and Kim all engaged in a little frock swap action after the London premiere of Sex and The City 2. With their extensive pick of designer goodies and access to Patricia Field, can you blame them? Now, I'm keen to hear your thoughts on who looked most fab as all the lovely ladies sported very different looks. Kristen went old-Hollywood glam in an green prom-style dress and nude heels; Cynthia was printed but fuss free in a washed-floral strapless dress; SJP could be mistaken for Rachel Zoe in her floaty waterprint maxi and gold jewels; and Kim kept things sparkly but simple in a one shouldered dress and peep toe heels.
Sarah Jessica Parker continued her Sex and the City 2 promotions, this time stopping by David Letterman's studios in NYC. Like all her recent outfits, this one is incredibly snazzy; Carrie would be proud. The sequined zebra Blumarine dress is sexy, while her white Stella McCartney blazer (which she's been spotted in before) gives boyish flair. A gold crossbody bag, matching gold bracelets, and to-die-for Nicholas Kirkwood sandals act as fabulous sidekicks.
Alright party people, time to hear your thoughts on a couple of SATC2 frock swaps! Both Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis swapped their bright, happy gowns for something a little more flirty for after-party celebrations. SJP went for Elie Saab black lace with sleeves and a tutu-style skirt teamed with punchy Nicholas Kirkwood turquoise and black heels, while Kristin kept things sparkly in her vintage metallic tube dress and matching sandals. I can't go past SJP's high voltage style on this one, am loving that dress and those heels stoopid. How about you?
Sex and The City 2 mayhem has swept New York, and I'm jumping on the bandwagon by giving you 50 of the very best premiere pics from today's star studded event. The cast dazzled in outfits eerily similar to their SATC alter egos, and other celebrity pals did their very best to join in on all the red carpet designer action. Remember, this is just the beginning. There'll be other SATC2 premieres following shortly as the movie opens worldwide throughout the next few weeks. Now, excuse me whilst I go reserve my tickets for Australia's June 2nd release...woohoo!
Things are only getting bigger and better for Aussie label Bassike, not that it really needed a bigger fan base. Sarah Jessica Parker was recently spotted leaving the Sex & The City 2 press conference in New York wearing their dot tee (pictured below). The T-shirt made such an impression on the superstar that she personally rang Bassike's head office in Palm Beach to bulk order from their current range as well as the yet to be released RAFW Spring/Summer collection. She particulary loved the denim pieces and called their universal jean the "most elegant jean I have ever worn, such beautiful denim." Bassike was recently launched into US department stores Barneys and Fred Segal so expect to hear of more celebrities falling in love with the eco-friendly brand.
As soon as I saw Sarah Jessica Parker on the cover of Marie Claire's June issue, I instantly had a flashback to Demi Moore's W cover from December '09; you know, the one that stirred much airbrushing controversy. They're both wearing similar, armour-chic looks from Balmain's Spring '10 collection, so the comparison must be made. Demi's has a low-cut bodice, while SJP's is boatneck — both have asymmetrical-hems and hanging shoulder details. So tell me, which cover girl wore Balmain better?
