I've been looking for a new handbag for a while now, but nothing's really knocked my socks off. I'm not after anything special - just an everyday bag which is big enough to hold my essentials (which happen to include ballet flats, nailpolish, 2 pairs of glasses and more often than not, chocolate), but small enough not to take over my whole look. I've been faithful to my miu miu bow bag for a while, but as much as I love it, the sheer weight and size have made me re-think my handbag style. I need a lightweight bag which will suit my breezy Summer wardrobe, something a little fun!
Cue in - Marc Jacobs studded satchel from Saks Fifth Avenue. I think it's love. I'm a huge fan of gold hardware, and love the bright colour. Tan and black handbags seem so boring in comparison. Although the price is a little steep (about $1,500), I'm thinking I may play Santa for a day and splurge.
What do you guys think? Can you find me a more affordable alternative, or should I just bite the bullet and add to cart?
What to wear on NYE? It's always been a fashion conundrum of mine. Whether you're partying the night away or having quiet drinks with friends, the event always calls for a little somethin', somethin'.
You don't have to break the budget this year, thanks to our soaring Aussie dollar and Forever 21. After vising their online store recently, it was more a question of what not to add to cart, seeing as you can easily grab an entire outfit for less than $100!
Make like The Hills girls (Lo and Audrina are always sporting something from the US chain store) and say goodbye to 2009 in style!
Here's a test for all you Fab Sisters out there. Which of these cross-over sandals are the real deal, and which are the chain store version? Here's 5 seconds thinking music to help you along......
Stumped? Or did you not even have to give them a second look?
Just as I was about to hit 'purchase now' on my designer version, I headed over to Witchery to see what they're up to this season. Quite a lot, so it seems. Their tan cross over sandals retail for $149.95 and give you a Chloé look, minus the price tag. Of course, if like me, you love a bargain but can't go past the original grey colour, then you may just want to stick with the real macoy by grabbing them on sale at MyTheresa. It's a win, win, really.
Sales are fun. Even more so when they include the convenience of online shopping, local shipping, and can get you a designer look for less, quicker than you can say Erin Wasson.
I raided Australian storeFreez recently, and despite filling my shopping cart to the brim, barely made a dent in the credit card. Gotta love that.
Here are the pieces that gave my wardrobe the Alexander Wang touch it needed.
