Jennifer Hawkins showed off some skin (strategically) in a pink Yeojin Bae dress at the launch of the Range Rover Sport at the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Sydney last night. She joined her fellow ambassadors, George Gregan and Sass & Bide designer Heidi Middleton, for some photos at the event, which was also attended by media personalities Jessica Rowe, Peter Overton, Magdalena Roze and Tom Waterhouse.
Jennifer’s been in the spotlight non-stop since returning to work after her June wedding. She’s hosting Australia’s Next Top Model, attended the ASTRA Awards last week, expanding her empire with the launch of a new line of bronzing products, and will walk in Myer’s Spring Summer 2014 collection launch on Aug. 8.
The Great Gatsby celebrations continued in Sydney last night, with Tiffany & Co. hosting an exclusive dinner together with Vogue to welcome The Great Gatsby Collection of jewels arriving in Australia. From Elizabeth Debicki to Gracie Otto, our favourite local faces frocked up for the intimate art-deco setting at Neil Perry's Rockpool Bar and Grill, keeping their hair and makeup looks fuss-free to let the 1920's inspired collection truly shine. InStyle magazine hosted their annual Women of Style Awards last night in Sydney, drawing a fabulously dressed crowd to Eveleigh's CarriageWorks. Designer Carla Zampatti was honoured with the Fashion Award, and an absentee Nicole Kidman was awarded the Hall of Fame gong. We, as usual, were just as interested in scoping out the what the A-list crowd wore to this style-driven event as who-won-what. Lindy Klim wowed in a sculptural Toni Maticevski number, The Voice alumn' Emma Birdsall went the retro route in a brocade Carla Zampatti number, Samara Weaving showed off her killer figure in a sheer-spliced LBD and Kate Waterhouse kept it casual in a relaxed Lanvin top + pant combo. Last night at Sydney's The Star, celebrities flocked to celebrate CLEO magazine's much-anticipated relaunch. New columnist Kelly Osbourne was flown in especially for the fun-filled event, walking the red carpet in an Alex Perry frock hot off the MBFWA runway (albeit in black, not ecru as shown). The local celeb-set joined the E! Fashion Police commentator in the festivities, bringing their party-dress best. Laura Dundovic shone in a sexy Manning Cartell two-piece, chosen by beau James Kerley, Zoe Marshall looked chic in a plunging lilac Suboo sheath, Celebrity Apprentice contestant Prinnie Stevens was elegant in white in Bless'ed Are The Meek number, Nikki Phillips went the embellished route in a red leather Isabel Marant shift, and editor Sharri Markson took Kelly's lead by opting for a corseted Alex Perry party frock. Want to zoom in on all the red carpet style? It's all inside. . .
Cosmopolitan magazine celebrates its 40th birthday this month and rounded up Australia’s glamorous social set for an exclusive lunch at Otto Ristorante at Woolloomooloo in Sydney yesterday. The publication’s editors over the years came together for the event and were joined by the likes of Jodi Anasta, Rachael Finch, Laura Dundovic and Kate Waterhouse to dine under a canopy of balloons that were so low the guests had to watch their heads whenever they stood up. It was a lovely afternoon for celebrities to catch up with friends, and towards the end of the lunch current editor Bronwyn McCahon addressed the stylish room, surprising them with the news that everyone would be going home with a new BlackBerry.
Those Italians sure know how to have a good time! Paolo and Gildo Zegna, Chairman and CEO respectively, of Ermenegildo Zegna flew in to Australia to present the 50th anniversary Wool Trophy Awards last night in Sydney. The Royal Hall of Industries was transformed into a three-pronged spectacular: encompassing a multi-media digital installation, Australia's longest ever mens catwalk show and a chic cocktail party for the 1,000 VIP guests. The Temper Trap played, Chris Hemsworth made a cameo, the drinks flowed and the guests were dressed to the nines!
Special mention goes to Prinnie Stevens in lemon Steven Khalil, hostess for the evening Megan Gale (opened proceedings in fluent Italian) who looked elegant in an Agnona LBD and Kerri-Anne Kennerley who shone in Alex Perry. Want to see more? Step inside to snoop all the stylish A-list arrivals.
The opening of the highly anticipated Giorgio Armani beauty counter inside Myer's Sydney city store drew a select but stylish crowd last night. The unofficial theme of the evening looked to be black and white, with the well-dressed guest list showing they really knew how to work this season's monochrome trend. Zoe worked a scultpural two-piece by Steven Khalil and studded clutch by Alexander McQueen. Laura Dundovic worked the two-tone trend via a peplum cocktail frock, Magdalena Roze tempered her flirty, feathered dress with a leather moto jacket and Nicole Warne (aka Gary Pepper Vintage) donned an allured lace dress from Lover and scarlet Charlotte Olympia heels. Step inside to get a better look at the outfits on show, then vote for you think was best dressed on the night.
Australian stars frocked up for the official opening of the Giorgio Armani beauty counter at Myer's Sydney city store last night. They included TV personalities who were fresh from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia festivities, such as Laura Dundovic, Zoe Marshall, Magdalena Roze (who also attended the unveiling of the new Qantas uniforms yesterday) and glossy-haired blogger Nicole Warne. Myer ambassador Kris Smith was also on hand for the event, looking sharp in a suit. Laura seemed to have a great night testing beauty products and tweeted, "Amazing event @Myer_MyStore. Had so much fun trying all the #giorgioarmanicosmetics!"
Miranda Kerr hit the runway at the Hordern Pavilion at Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter for the unveiling of the new Qantas uniforms today. She’s an ambassador for the airline and was joined by Qantas staffers who also modelled the new look from Australian designer Martin Grant. The “fresh, modern and bold” uniforms, which have divided fashion critics, feature a red, hot pink and navy colour palette, and will be seen on Qantas customer-facing employees by 2014.
The attention wasn’t just on the catwalk, though, as Cate Blanchett brought some star power to the front row and enjoyed the show next to Qantas CEO Alan Joyce. Aussie TV personalities Magdalena Roze, Sophie Falkiner and Laura Csortan were also busy snapping pictures on their phones.
