It wasn't all about brights at the 11th Annual Warner Brothers and InStyle Golden Globes after party last night, with a few celebs working their magic on earthy tones and glistening metallics.
Isabel Lucas toned down her sequins, opting for a long Chanel dress and matching scarf combo, while Vanessa Hudgens showed off her pins in a bubble-hem Alberta Ferretti mini dress. Rachel Zoe styled herself in a black and gold cut-out sleeve number mixed back with ever present platform pumps, and Kate Bosworth stuck to white, pure and simple, teamed back with Cartier jewels and classic cream stilettos. The girls look lovely, but who stands out?
Hollywood hotties came out to play for post-Globes festivities, letting loose in less structured and more fancy-free outfits. So much fun! Unlike the awards ceremony where muted tones, pastels and neutrals reigned supreme, the bright young things went for bold colour and big, statement accessories.
Here we have Jessica Stroup, who went for a tight and bright green sleeved Bally mini dress and ankle boots, Molly Sims in floor-length pink Marchesa, Ashley Olsen in cobalt Erdem and Manolo Blahnik heels, and Sophia Bush who dazzled in a long, orange J.Crew Collection gown. They all look super hot, but who rocks it best?
If you're anything like me, you'll never tire of stalking pictures from an awards show, which is why I've gotten down to the nitty gritty and brought you some best-of moments from the 2010 Globes. Umbrellas played a big part (mental note: must find an umbrella holder, they seem tres handy) as did lust- worthy jewels, spectacular dresses and inspiring hair and make up. Ahh....what a memorable evening.
Valentino clad Jennifer Aniston stuck to her trusty black for this year's Globes. The actress never strays away from this same style—long, simple, classic. The thigh-high split definitely adds a sexy edge, and her Versace shoes give an impressive leg line. She looks hot, there ain't no mistaking that, but is she floating your fashion boat?
What's an awards show without the ever demure Kate Winslet, hmm? Here she is striking a pose behind-the-scenes, looking radiant and classy in a navy fitted gown. This look is all about the details —embellished dress, drop earrings and glistening diamond bracelet. The girl's done good. You agree?
Best Actress in a TV series winner Toni Collette looked golden and glitter-ful at this year's Globes. She chose to keep classic and streamlined in her sparkly Elie Saab dress and Neil Lane jewels. The shape really works for her, and a bit of bedazzling never hurt anyone on the red carpet, but did you expect more? I can't help but feel I've seen this before. Nevertheless, congrats, Toni! Your turn now..
Nicole Kidman made a subtle entrance, bypassing the red carpet and heading straight to the press room. She chose a champagne coloured Nina Ricci gown for her presenting duties at this year's Globes. The bow details and draping are heavenly, but I'm a little unsure about the colour and fabric choice. Are you a fan?
Are you gearing up for next week's 2010 Golden Globe Awards? I surely am. Nothing excites me as much as the anticipation of a big red carpet moment. What will they wear? Which designer will they choose? And most importantly, what colour will they be sporting? We've dug deep into the archives and selected the top five colour moments from past Golden Globes.
First up we have blue! This great alternative to black has been a firm favourite lately, with multiple stars rocking the shade last year. Blake Lively donned a Nina Ricci embellished number, while Anna Hathaway went more traditional in an Aramani Prive gown. Maggie Gyllenhaal braved prints —a rarity on the red carpet, and chose Lanvin's asymmetrical leopard print dress. Other past blue belles include Isla Fisher, January Jones, Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett and Drew Barrymore. Gorgeous.
It's easy to go bananas over The Rachel Zoe Project. What's there not to love? Providing a voyueristic view into the day in the life of a celebrity stylist, Rachel and Team Zoe spend their days meeting the world's best designers and dressing A list celebrities.
Let's see how closely you've followed Rachel and her red carpet choices this season.
