There have been a lot of stellar looks on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, but we felt compelled to draw your attention to one in particular. Talk about owning the red carpet! Cara Delevingne smashed her best-dressed competition out of the park at yesterday's premiere of The Great Gatsby, slinking down the red rug in a form-fitting black lace gown by her Brit label of choice — Burberry. Now the dress in itself is without doubt glamorous, but it's nothing we haven't seen before. The long sleeved, deep V number had peekaboo appeal, but it was Cara's unexpected finishing touches that really separated her from the A-list pack.

Dripping in Chopard diamonds, she broke the fashion (and makeup) rule of letting one feature shine. Chandelier earings + collar necklace + cocktail ring should've spelt OTT, but instead it was glamour of the Vogue Paris variety. Similarly, her scarlet pout and smoky eye combo would ordinarily be overkill, but thanks to Cara's posing skills and general YOLO 'tude, she pulled it off. Kate Bosworth isn't scared of playing with her skirt shapes; on Tuesday we saw her work a super-short Balmain mini number at the Met Gala but last night for a screening of the horror flick Black Rock in Hollywood the newly brunette(ish) actor stepped out in this season's hottest skirt shape: the trumpet. Kate teamed a Miu Miu embellished tunic and flippy-hemmed skirt with a pair of covetable high-shine silver Prada pumps and a turquoise snakeskin Prada clutch. Zoe Saldana stepped, or should we say skipped, out in Berlin in this delightful Calvin Klein Collection ensemble yesterday. She was on press tour duty for Star Trek Into Darkness, joining co-stars Zachary Quinto and Alice Eve for the photocall in the German capital. Shirking off the traditionally staid vibe that a charcoal two-piece brings, Zoe — or should we say her stylist Mara Roszak, put a playful spin on things via this pleated skirt and crop-top combo. A pair of cut-out Jimmy Choo suede ankle booties and a bejewelled headpiece by Jennifer Behr (which, btw, you can still buy) finished off her femme look. Upon hearing news that Diane Kruger was kicking off the press tour for The Host, we did a little happy dance. Why? Diane is one of Hollywood's most stylish leading ladies and she never (and we mean never) disappoints on the red rug. Case in point: she chased up her tummy-baring red leather ensemble with a sexy take on the classic LBD yesterday at the LA premiere. Diane chose an embroidered and sheer-panelled Thakoon number from the American designer's A/W '13 collection, teaming the flirty look with a pair of solid silver Jimmy Choo shoe-booties. Diane was clearly in fine form on the night, making lovey-dovey eyes at beau Joshua Jackson and laying a big sloppy one co-star Saoirse Ronan. Jennifer Hawkins looks pretty comfortable in her new hosting shoes for the eighth cycle of Australia's Next Top Model, stealing the spotlight at last night's 2013 programme launch for Foxtel at Sydney's Fox Studios. This is one of our favourite-to-date looks on Jen; minimal, modern and understatedly sexy. Her Thierry Mugler number adheres to the old fashion adage of showing off only one asset at a time; in this case her killer legs. A pair of sleek nude Casadei pumps kept the focus on her futuristic dress, as did the lack of fussy accessories. Beyoncé's HBO documentary, Life Is But a Dream, debuts this Saturday in the States, but first, the singer stunned in an embellished Elie Saab gown — from the house's Spring 2012 Couture collection — at the NYC premiere yesterday. We would expect nothing less than dazzling from Beyoncé for her big night. Everything from the sheer bodice to the floral appliqué detail to the neutral colour is undeniably exquisite, especially on her gorgeous figure. And clearly Beyoncé is also in love with her dress, because she posted this side shot on her Instagram. Rose Byrne stepped out in Sydney last night for the local premiere of I Give It a Year, and Pop was on the red carpet to interview the stylish leading lady in person. For us however it was her outfit of choice, and not her acting skills, that got our attention — with Rose opting for a sophisticated bordeaux-hued leather-spliced dress by Jill Stuart. This may not be the first time Emma Stone has stepped out in a Lanvin LRD (remember her plastic-flower-embellished number at last year's Met Gala?), but her stunning strapless dress at last night's LA premiere of Gangster Squad sealed the deal on her status as both a red-carpet queen and a fashion darling. The actress chose a red woven silk and brocade sweetheart-neckline Pre-Fall 2013 dress — she's the first to step out in the latest collection — which she accented with rich Lanvin costume jewels. We love that the oversize crystal necklace played up her bare décolletage, but never took away from the overtly feminine silhouette. Elsewhere, she let the crystal flower brooch make a waist-cinching statement (no explanation needed there). To finish, she added a Lanvin rectangle clutch and matching Christian Louboutin Pigalle heels. If we learned anything from her impressive Amazing Spider-Man promo tour, it's that Emma is fearless where premiere style is concerned. We've anxiously awaited the film adaptation of one of our favourite musicals of all time — but before Victor Hugo's cast of characters hits the big screen, they're hitting the red carpet. Anne Hathaway hit the red carpet at the Les Misérables world premiere in London decked out in a gorgeous Givenchy Couture beaded gown. Nothing short of jaw-dropping, the dress featured intricate rhinestone embellishments, draped sleeves, and a skin-baring cut-out back detail. With the light reflecting off her shimmery gown, Anne was literally shining. No doubt, it's a daring look, but we think she pulled it off. Her sleekly cropped 'do showed off the spiked halter strap detailing, and we loved how she opted for minimal accessories, allowing her dress to shine through.
