Well there goes my theory of a couple that dresses well together, stays together. Boo. Poor Lara Bingle. I get the feeling she really enjoyed having a partner who completely took on her fashion advice and style. I mean, I can't imagine Michael Clarke working a Prada suit on his own accord, can you? In fact, if it wasn't for Lara, I wouldn't even know who Michael Clarke was, let alone what he wears. Don't judge people.

This is one Australian power couple who were as famous for their wardrobes as they were their public spats. It'll be interesting to see what happens now they no longer share a walk-in. Will Lars still drive her Aston Martin in YSL heels? Will Pup burn his designer suits and flaunt his cricket whites off the pitch? So many pressing questions. I'm interested to hear your take on this. Do you think Michael will tone down his style now he no longer has a high-fashion loving partner? Or will he wave the designer flag without her?
Rumours were circulating this week that Lindsay Lohan might not be present at the Ungaro Autumn show leaving chief designer Estrella Archs to bow alone. Well, she didn't turn up and reportedly was not even invited. Speaking to WWD, Ungaro owner Asim Abdullah simply commented, "She's not involved in this collection." Her appointment at the house has always been controversial. Her first (and only) collection received poor reviews and trouble began to escalate late last year when the CEO who appointed her resigned. Lindsay is currently in Paris attending shows including John Galliano where she caused such a scene that Carine Roitfeld made a sharp exit. Ouchies.
If you're a fan of Alexander Wang then chances are you own at least one piece from his more affordable basics line, T by Alexander Wang. For the upcoming Fall season, T grows from a label filled with tees and tanks into new territory with blazers, skinny pants, denim jackets and knits all included in the range. This could explain why Wang's Fall '10 main line collection seemed so mature and refined compared to seasons past. As he explains to WWD "As we evolved, I felt like the main collection needed to have more of a point of view on the runway."

The T collection will be closely linked to the Alexander Wang label focusing on the same trends and detailings; for instance the popular beanies which featured on the '08 runway will now be included in the T range. "This is about the foundations, clothes that people want to wear and live in. Our girl can use the ready-to-wear to sprinkle in the excitement, but these [T] are the core pieces of her wardrobe." Two words, bring it.
Miranda Kerr gave an exclusive interview to London's The Evening Standard recently revealing her favourite London hotspots. Throughout the piece she reveals her love for Topshop, admiration for Miuccia Prada and how she scores vintage Chanel from her Grandmother. Here are some highlights:
On London shops she relies on: "I go to Topshop for great basics; Smythson for the amazing notebooks, diaries and leather goods; Harrods is just a brilliant experience for anyone; Jimmy Choo for a fabulous pair of shoes; and Portobello Road for vintage."
Her favourite fashion find: "It changes daily, but right now it is my new blue Prada tote handbag."
On stealing from her Grandmother: "I've taken several amazing vintage pieces from my grandmother's wardrobe, such as a long summer dress with a distinct white, yellow, orange and green floral print and a vintage Chanel tweed jacket in black and white. But it was with her blessing."
Which other models she admires: "Christy Turlington, because she achieved success with such grace and elegance and I respect what she stands for in terms of health and wellness."

Not content with being a model turned singer turned actor, Agyness Deyn is set to add another string to her bow as she plans to launch an online magazine. The raven haired star has been in London recently as she attended the Elle Style Awards and London Fashion Week. She is venturing in to business with Fiona Byrne for a project to be called Naag. There is no further information on the plans yet, and nothing has yet been posted online. 'Naag' is a combination of the two girls names and is sure to be intriguing. Celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow and Victoria Beckham already have a similar set up and it works out well for them, do you think this is a good plan for Agyness?
It's been a busy award season for Carey Mulligan with plenty of red carpet stand-outs, which could explain her confidence when taking advice. It has been revealed this week that she recently turned down advice from none other than Anna Wintour! The pair sat next to each other at New York Fashion Week and started discussing her Oscars outfit next month. Carey explained, "She said I should wear short to the Oscars. I was like 'No!' She's lovely, but she's Anna Wintour." She attended the BAFTAs this weekend in a long Vionnet gown and then the Elle Style Awards last night in a mid length ensemble so she is clearly rebelling against the advice (very brave!). Do you think she should have taken Ms. Wintour's words more seriously?
By George, they've done it again! Net-a-Porter has zoned in on another hot new label from France, with royal pedigree, no less! Carven, an established house of couture since 1945, is now fronted by former Givenchy designer Guillaume Henry, who has taken the label into an exciting new ready-to-wear direction. Keeping in line with the label's couture history, the collection exudes a fresh, youthful and modern feel with draping, ruffles and ruching all featuring in key pieces.
Head over to Net-a-Porter for an exclusive video interview with the designer as well as some brief history behind the label. Oh, and while you're there check out the silk printed scarf and asymmetrical silk and cotton dress, they're my fave pieces!

Have you seen The September Issue a gazillion times like me? Pop was lovely enough to lend me the DVD this past weekend and I'm at the stage where I can almost recite the entire script, accents and all. (Real fun for anyone lucky enough to be watching it with me). You can imagine my delight at hearing the news that Grace Coddington and director R.J. Cutler are teaming up again to produce another film. Hold onto your Louboutins though, this isn't another fly-on-the-wall magazine doco, this time the stars will be based on Grace's book, The Catwalk Cats. As Cutler explained to The Cut: "We think it's going to be a big animated feature film about Grace Coddington's feline family."
Look, admittingly I'm no cat-lover, but anything that involves the amazing Grace is a winner in my eyes, agreed? In the meantime, don't forget to pick up The September Issue on DVD as it includes 90 minutes of unseen footage, including Anna Wintour's appointments with Karl Lagerfeld, Olivier Theysken and Nicolas Ghesquière.
If you're a fan of the film Valentino: The Last Emperor, you'll probably agree that Valentino's long time partner and business collaborator Giancarlo Giammetti often stole the show — especially in the scene where he tells Valentino he looks "a little too tan." Having both left the label on its 45th anniversary, the fashion house is now designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, who presented their couture '10 collection last month. Giancarlo wasn't shy in voicing his opinion on the show by declaring on his Facebook page that he was "Just speechless....We have always supported the new designers and we love them, but this time we have to distance ourselves from this ridiculous circus." Yikes. He later explained to WWD that he was forced to delete the update as it was "becoming too heavy," explaining he and Valentino are supportive of the new designers "even if we don't approve of their effort to be cool at all costs." Double yikes! Let this be a lesson to all the oversharers on Facebook!
Well, errrr, as a fashion blogger, I'm going to tread verrrrry lightly on this one. You may have heard by now that little Tavi Gevinson, the 13 year old American fashion blogger, has received a fair amount of backlash for being seated front row at the Christian Dior couture show recently. This has sparked a number of magazine editors and fashion bigwigs to express their concern over the growing number of bloggers who are taking precedence at fashion events over industry veterans.
The Independent reports that Sarah McCullogh, Selfridges' creative concepts manager and an avid blog reader, said: "It's mind-blowing that bloggers like Tavi are at the couture shows and being showered with all kinds of gifts. It has soured things a little bit for me." UK Grazia's style director Paula Reed was also less than impressed after tweeting a picture form the Dior show as seen through the gigantic bow headband Tavi was sporting on the seat in front of her.
What are you thoughts on this? Should magazine editors have authority on fashion shows and news, or do you prefer a fresh take on fashion as provided by bloggers like Tavi? (Be nice people, it could cost me my job!).
