With a mix of punky plaids, tweedy separates, and prim pointed-toe flats, we like to think of Topshop's Autumn/Winter collection as a hybrid of cool-girl stylings from Britain's fashion darlings. We could see both Alexa Chung's boy-meets-girl street style and Poppy Delevingne's effortless-chic in the trench coats, leather skirts, loafers, and tweed crop tops from Topshop's latest line-up. Right down to the boxy handheld satchels, quilted leather, and red-plaid skinnies, the brand balances British prep-school punk with a more sophisticated, ladylike spin. In short, it's perfect for playing the part of any of London's trendsetters (no Pommy accent required).
Make Your Beauty Kit Winter-Friendly With Just $50
It's not just makeup that changes with the season, skincare very much needs to adapt to the elements, too. And if you haven't made the switch to richer, more nourishing creams that will help replace some of that moisture that Winter winds (and cosy heaters) suck out of our skin, it's not too late. And it needn't be a big expense, either. We've shopped around to bring you five Winter essentials that will overhaul your kit for the chilly season all totalling to just $47.07.
What We're Sweet On: A Plumping Cream That Hydrates For 24 Hours

I don't know about you, but I'm always sceptical when brands update a cult classic that I swear by. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, I say. But in this instance I have to swallow my words because I've found a new Clinique moisturiser that I love even more (something I didn't think was possible) than Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief ($60): Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator ($60). I know what you're thinking — I was too — surely they've just changed the name, not the formula, right? Wrong. The newly-released Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator is a white cream, not a pinky-peachy gel. This is great if you have insanely dry skin like me (or pretty much anyone in Winter) because it's rich and nourishing, but not heavy; because let's face it, who wants to walk around all shiny and greasy-feeling. In fact that's what impressed me most about this product — its ability to sink in and look invisible. Unlike other rich creams it is suitable for wearing during the day (though if you tend to get greasy, only use it at night) because it doesn't leave that sheen that says "Hi, I've just used a really rich, thick moisturiser." It promises long-lasting hydration for 24 hours and it delivers. When you get to the end of the work day your skin still feels soft from the morning moisturiser application and this makes foundation and the rest of your base makeup look so much better because it doesn't cling and get stuck to dry skin, instead it just glides on smoothly. My only slight disappointment is that it smells a bit "science-y" because, as with all Clinique products, it's fragrance-free. Saying that I really should be (and am) happy as it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin but keeps it hydrated!

Here are five fab finds that'll do the job and restore moisture (and with it, that salon-worthy shine) in no time.
