Watch the Trailer For Whitney Houston's Final Movie, Sparkle

It's been almost a year since Whitney Houston's tragic passing, but her legacy continues to live on in her music and film. Her final project, Sparkle, which is available to buy now, is a combination of both of those elements: the film stars Houston as a former professional singer who stands by as her three daughters (including Sparkle, played by Jordin Sparks) in their quest to stardom in the 1950s. They succeed in forming a girl group, but of course they run into the typical perils that go along with fame.

Though the film is a remake of a 1976 film of the same name, it also feels a lot like Dreamgirls to me. Still, seeing Whitney in something new pulled on my heartstrings a little — especially when she shows off her signature pipes. It's also fun to see Cee Lo Green looking practically unrecognisable in one of his first film roles. Check out the trailer and weigh in when you read more.

Britney Spears had her second night out in a row on Thursday night at the "We Will Always Love You" Grammy salute to Whitney Houston held at the Nokia Theatre at LA Live. Britney posed on the carpet alongside stars like Halle Berry, Jennifer Hudson, and more Whitney fans. Inside, Britney took the stage, as did Halle, while Jennifer and Usher were among the performers. On Wednesday night, Britney and her fiancé Jason Trawick stepped out for the City of Hope charity's Spirit of Life Awards. Jason was also on hand to keep Britney company on Thursday. She tweeted a picture of them together at LA Live's backstage, captioning it, "Backstage at The Whitney Houston Tribute. Such a solemn occasion. Jason's doing his best to put a smile on my face." The social week comes during Britney's busy season of The X Factor — and working on Simon Cowell's reality program seems to be helping Britney accumulate quite the fortune! New court documents released this week show Britney Spears's net worth to be over $32 million.
