The 48th annual Academy of Country Music Awards provided the perfect "excuse" for a little glamour yesterday, especially where Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood were concerned. Both singers chose floor-length creations for the occasion, but that's where the similarities ended. Swift sparkled in a gold form-fitting Dolce & Gabbana number, which also featured a bejewelled art deco-inspired neckline and a sexy low back. Underwood stuck to her red carpet MO with a bright floral-print strapless gown by Naeem Khan, coral chandelier earrings, and a black clutch. Taylor opted for a red coat while soaking in the sights in the City of Light, and for her intimate performance, she punctuated an all-black outfit with a cool red guitar. We knew it was coming months ago when we heard Taylor Swift inked a deal with Keds. Now, with a glimpse of Swift in the label's new Bravehearts campaign shot, we have confirmation of what we pretty much knew all along: Swift was born to play this part. In fact, it's easy to confuse this campaign snap for just another paparazzi shot of the star in her red Keds — from the polka-dot fit-and-flare to the red lip (and of course, the classic kicks), this is a signature Swift ensemble.
But the brand's interest in Swift is more than skin deep. In seeking out a Keds girl, the label was looking for someone "optimistic, kind and bold, [who] views life with a very brave outlook," to complement the spirit of the Bravehearts campaign. To further that narrative, Swift is sharing her own bravest moment on the newly launched Bravehearts website — and asking you to do the same — in the hopes of inspiring girls to "live fearlessly and define their individual style." Taylor Swift and Alicia Keys brought US starpower to the red carpet at the NRJ Music Awards today in Cannes. Both arrived in France recently to attend the awards, which also attracted musical acts like Psy and One Direction. Things might get awkward for Taylor Swift, since she may run-into her ex, Harry Styles. He and his 1D bandmates Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson hit the carpet as well. Both Taylor and Alicia had stunning — though different — looks before the show began. Alicia wore a cut-out Michael Kors gown, with husband Swizz Beatz on her arm, and apparently got a great reception. She tweeted, "France, I can feel the love!". Taylor, meanwhile, donned a pale gold sequined mini.
White seems to be on everyone's mind. On Friday, Nicole Richie, Jennifer Lopez, and Taylor Swift all reached for the same hue on dresses for their respective red-carpet cameos. Nicole debuted a shorter hairstyle in a white fit-and-flare dress for the Elle Women in TV event, Jennifer showed off her svelte figure in a curve-hugging gown, and Taylor took the plunge with a sexy neckline. Taylor Swift wore two looks, one refined and one cute, at last night's 40 Principales Awards in Madrid. She walked the blue carpet wearing a white KaufmanFranco dress (the same label Jennifer Lopez wore on the same night!) and Christian Louboutins and later changed into a red t-shirt and black shorts to sing at the event and work the press room. In addition to performing, Taylor also won the international artist award.
She wrote on Twitter afterward, "Tonight was my first time at the 40 Principales Awards in Madrid and it was amazing. Thanks to the fans for the International Artist Award." Despite her two very modern outfits at the Spanish award show, she rocked a completely different look earlier this week — Taylor posed as Rapunzel for Annie Leibovitz's Disney Dream Portrait series.

Taylor opted for a sleek, fitted and plunging Ralph Lauren gown for today's People's Choice appearance. She contrasted her white dress with a pair of statement-making turquoise drop earrings and continued the goddess theme down to the collection of stacked gold rings.
