There are only five (yes, FIVE) sleeps until the madness of MBFWA begins, so we are all systems fashion week. We know you like to see things first (as do we!) so we've spent the past few weeks securing some exclusive previews, courtesy of our favourite local designers. Today we're bringing you the first of many exclusive sneak peeks from the collections, collections that we will all be seeing in full on the runway at Carriageworks in Sydney's Redfern. So, consider this your VIP pass. First up? The delightful Manning Cartell sisters were kind enough to snap their rather inspiring mood board and send it our way. They said of their collection, "For SS13-14 we were inspired by modern romance and the story of Romeo & Juliet. We like the contrast of opposing elements and the idea of futuristic aesthetics mixed with retro. Our mood board has some great references of duality, a strong theme in our collection." Sneak Peek: All the Products in the MAC Archie's Girls Collection
In the spirit of Valentine's Day, MAC Cosmetics is releasing a makeup collection inspired by one classic love triangle: Archie, Betty, and Veronica. The latest cartoon collaboration follows in the fabulous footsteps of Miss Piggy and Wonder Woman, but the Archie's Girls collection is even more exciting because there are two lines, one for each competing girlfriend. Sweet and innocent Betty has been translated into pale pinks and peaches, while daring and brazen Veronica becomes deep shades of red and plum. The Archie's Girls collection is available in the US from January 30, and is expected to arrive in Australia soon after. Keep your eyes peeled!
Sneak peek! A VIP insider's look at the Calvin Klein S/S '13 Collection
Calvin Klein is one of the few brands that never disappoints. Known for its simple silhouettes and staples of the highest quality, the label's brand spankin' new collection each season is one of the most hotly-anticipated in the fashion circuit. So when we get access to images like these, it's only natural that we swoon just a little. So what can we expect for next year? Stripes, prints, colour-blocking and lots cobalt blue and green. Sounds divine! ASOS's Spring '13 Lookbook Is Here — and We Want It All

It's the stuff that makes for a killer wardrobe; click on, and start making your shopping wish list.
Sneak Peek: Feast Your Eyes on New ASOS Collection
Some things are worth the wait — that's the first thing we'll say about ASOS' latest lineup. Debuting online in four months (in time for the Northern Hemisphere Spring), the wash of prints, high-wattage hues, and statement-making accessories will have serious payoff for your style. The collection's all about high-impact: floral appliqué heels, metallic wedges, sparkling bib necklaces finished with neon rhinestones, and whimsical, rainbow-coloured dresses. If you're not the girlie type, ASOS does its part to offer the alternative styler a range of cool-girl merchandise — beyond its candy-covered clutches or floral-covered dresses, you'll find buckled or studded booties, embellished leather, fringed jackets, and chambray with a surfer-inspired feel. London Darling: Topshop Plays to British Punk and Polish For A/W '12
With a mix of punky plaids, tweedy separates, and prim pointed-toe flats, we like to think of Topshop's Autumn/Winter collection as a hybrid of cool-girl stylings from Britain's fashion darlings. We could see both Alexa Chung's boy-meets-girl street style and Poppy Delevingne's effortless-chic in the trench coats, leather skirts, loafers, and tweed crop tops from Topshop's latest line-up. Right down to the boxy handheld satchels, quilted leather, and red-plaid skinnies, the brand balances British prep-school punk with a more sophisticated, ladylike spin. In short, it's perfect for playing the part of any of London's trendsetters (no Pommy accent required).
