Today is quite the day for stylish celebrations! Not only are we celebrating news of Beyoncé giving birth to baby girl Blue Ivy Carter, but it's also Kate Middleton's 30th birthday. The Duchess of Cambridge has won the world over with her elegant sense of style, breathing fresh life into the British high street and high end designers along the way. Whether she's going glam for the red carpet in gowns by Alexander McQueen, Amanda Wakeley, Jenny Packham or (most recently) Alice Temperley, or donning chain store bargains from Topshop, Zara or Whistles, Kate maintains her understated and ladylike style signature. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that she'll go down in history at the decade's best-dressed bride. McQueen and Middleton: Dream Royal Wedding Dress Team?

Just a few days ahead of the latest Alexander McQueen show in Paris, UK paper the Telegraph is reporting that Kate Middleton's wedding dress will be created by chief designer Sarah Burton. The news has already been denied by a spokesperson for Alexander McQueen saying, "This is not true." However, usual practice for the designers of royal wedding dresses is to be sworn to secrecy by the palace.

Clarence House also said, "We're not commenting on the specific designer for the dress because Catherine Middleton wishes to keep the designer a secret until the wedding day." The Times says that Kate was impressed by a dress which Laura Parker Bowles wore on her wedding day in 2006 (pictured) which Burton designed. Burton took over the house of McQueen last year after his untimely death in February. McQueen was rebellious in his views towards the royal family. He was awarded a CBE in 2003, although later admitted that he only accepted it for his Mother. He explained, "I've said a lot of stuff about the Queen in the past - she sits on her arse and she gets paid an awful lot of money for it." Previous names who have been rumoured to design Kate's dress include Bruce Oldfield, Erdem and Alice Temperley.

We Love A Man In Uniform! Prince Will's Wedding Outfit Sorted

Whilst there's been much speculation (ok, yes - obsession if you count the Fab office) surrounding what Kate/Catherine Middleton will wear to walk down the aisle on April 29, not much has been said about what her prince charming will don on the big day. Hello magazine in the UK reported that Prince William has enlisted the help of Savile Row tailors Taylors Gieves & Hawkes to make a bespoke suit for the royal wedding. Apparently "Prince William did have the option to wear a normal suit but has decided he will wear a military uniform." But which uniform will it be? As the Prince has served in all three forces, he has the choice of Naval, RAF or Army official garb. What do you think of Will's choice of wedding day attire? Do you like a man in uniform? Or do you think a civilian suit would have been more appropriate?

Feel The Love! Mario Testino Spills On Kate and Will's Shoot

Mario Testino has revealed details to US Vogue about the engagement pictures he snapped for Prince William and Kate Middleton. The celebrity photographer has said of the bride to be "I already felt very confident that she would be an easy sitter, as she has natural grace, a very open personality, and a beautiful face and posture.... It was a real treat to photograph her." Apparently Mario brought along a CD by French crooner Dalida, and helped Kate pick out her Reiss dres s. DJ, stylist and photographer? Mario was multitasking that day! He nailed it when he said of the adorable shots "Two people in love have a glow and a presence more powerful than anything else, and I wanted that to be the subject of the picture."

On other Middleton related news, it appear that no one - not even Prince William will know what Kate will wear when she walks down the aisle on April 29th. We've done A LOT of speculating on the future Mrs Windsor's dress, but it seems she wants to keep mum about it til the big day. Rumours have Bruce Oldfield tipped as the favourite, as Kate and her mother and sister were s een recently leaving his Knightsbridge boutique. Fingers crossed Kate changes her mind and lets us in on the big dress secret.

Has Kate Middleton Chosen Her Wedding Dress Designer?

Rumours are circulating that our latest style icon (oh yes, and future Queen of England) Kate Middleton has already chosen her bridal designer. Betting on the designer has closed in, as one name keeps cropping up – Bruce Oldfield. He started as a joint favourite (with Issa) at 4/1, but odds have since been slashed to 1/3. A spokesperson for the betting company Paddy Power commented, "That would mean there is a 75 percent chance of him being the wedding dress designer." The odds sometimes increase because there has been a leak, and there do seem to be some pretty confident people out there (bets were being taken for around the $800 mark). When I asked you about Kate's wedding dress, most of you wanted Kate to stick her signature less-is-more, elegant style. Bruce's unfussy but old world Hollywood couture edge could be the perfect bridal style for the future Mrs Windsor! Stay tuned peeps, we'll keep you posted on this one.
