Aussie newcomer and Alice in Wonderland star, Mia Wasikowska, attended the indie festivities in a grey dress by Rodarte. Contrasting the lighter hue are opaque black tights and simple pumps. No jewels needed since the frock says it all. Cute! What's your verdict?
So, what did you think of the New York Fall collections? I know we're still digesting them — even though London Fashion Week is already well under way— but it was a whirlwind of fashion fun! I'm still trying to pick my top faves; Rodarte immediately comes to mind, but who else? Check out our round up of the best of the rest from NY Fashion Week. You'll find the delightful Anna Sui, preppy Tommy Hilfiger, quirky Jeremy Scott and a whole lot more! And don't forget, we'll be delivering you the very best shows from London all week so stay tuned for more!
Be still my beating heart, those Mulleavy Sisters may be a bit kooky, but they sure know how to dazzle on the runway. I've been left speechless after viewing their Fall collection on SHOWstudio.com.
Just where do I begin? Mexican-inspired crochet and knits, Virgin Suicide-esque white chiffon, sheer silk pants, floral lace catsuits, tattered fringing... it may sound strange, but together, it all works. Even down to the Nicholas Kirkwood designed glow-in-the-dark heels. It's no wonder this show drew a front row crowd including Kirsten Dunst, Chloe Sevigny and Natalie Portman. Trust me on this one, even if you wouldn't wear it, you'll certainly appreciate it.

Are you bummed you can't make it to the New York Fall fashion shows this year? Well cheer up, sunshine! US designers are coming to the rescue by broadcasting their shows live online, with Alexander Wang, Rodarte and Calvin Klein all jumping on the livestreaming bandwagon. Showstudio.com will be presenting both the Wang and Rodarte shows, while the CK show will be broadcast on calvinkleininc.com as well as Facebook.
While this is welcome news to most people, fashion insiders are lamenting that this could mean the end for future fashion week shows. US fashion writer Derek Blasberg recently tweeted his despair, "With all these shows streaming live online (Marc, Calvin, Burberry, etc), I shed a tear for the ultimate end of fashion week. It's coming." Boo. Do you think he has a point?
Only 2 sleeps to go! New York Fashion Week is only days away and I'm quite, (ok, ridiculoulsy) excited...can you tell? I've been looking back at last year's parades to get me in the mood and there are certainly a few key players which I can't wait to see again this year. Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, Proenza Schouler, Rodarte.. you get my drift. How about you; are there any shows which you're hanging to see most?

Don't forget to check back to FAB this week for a full roundup of all the shows, trends and celebrities from New York Fall '10 Fashion Week!
Quite a few impressed, but 15 renegades stood out as artisans and advocates of our favorite industry. These are the tastemakers, trendsetters and troublemakers. Men and women, singles and duos, inspiration oozes out of these individuals, from their fingers, onto the paper, into the fabric, and, eventually, onto the runway. Let's take a walk through designer heaven and salute a fabulously fashionable decade!
Alrighty, so us Aussie folk may have to admire from afar, but the Rodarte for US Target collection debuts in stores December 20, and I just had to share some exclusive pics with you. Lace and tulle frocks, leopard-print sequin dresses, netted tights and cute bow belts - gorge or what? Even more fabulous is the price range, starting from US$10. Basically, the raw Rodarte aesthetic minus the stinging price tag. All together now - sigh.

Enter into the world of Rihanna. Since 2005, the Barbadian beauty caught my attention with her catchy songs, and even more so, her megawatt style. When Rihanna first hit the scene, she stayed within the sexy singer realm via colourful body-con frocks and separates. As the years went along, she took a turn towards high fashion. After attending numerous runway shows, Rihanna developed an edgier sense of dressing and started donning clothes and accessories from the likes of Chanel, Alexander Wang, and Rodarte, to name a few. Despite a tough year, the songstress continues to impress me with her daring in-your-face ensembles and experimental hairdos. Let's take a look at Rihanna's astounding fashion metamorphosis.
