2013 Met Gala: Elle and Dakota Fanning Double Up on the Rodarte

The Met Gala was a family affair for one of the night's more adorable duos.

The Met Gala was a family affair for one of the night's more adorable duos. Sisters Dakota and Elle Fanning teamed up with fellow siblings Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the designers behind Rodarte, for their red carpet ensembles. While big sister Dakota went for a more sophisticated gown with a plunging neckline and sheer cut-out midriff, the 15-year-old Elle opted to play with tie-dye in red, blue, and white silk. Despite similar silhouettes, the outfits weren't overly coordinated — and they both put their own spin on the night's punk theme. So, do you love the Fannings' looks?

Keira Knightley wed James Righton in France over the weekend, and we were surprised to see her dress of choice for the occasion.

Keira Knightley wed James Righton in France over the weekend, and we were surprised to see her dress of choice for the occasion. Despite rumours that she was wearing Chanel, the bride chose to rewear a piece from her own wardrobe to walk down the aisle — a sweet strapless tulle dress reportedly by Rodarte. The first time we spotted her in this dress was at a pre-BAFTA bash in 2008! Watch on to hear the rest of the story, and let us know what you think about Keira's choice below.

La Vie en Rose: Karlie Kloss Stars in Moda Operandi's Flower-Filled Spring 2013 Ads

In Moda Operandi's Spring 2013 campaign, Karlie Kloss dons some of the season's prettiest flowery pieces, from an array of designers that includes Thom Browne, Rodarte, Suno, and Katie Ermilio, among others.

In Moda Operandi's Spring 2013 campaign, Karlie Kloss dons some of the season's prettiest flowery pieces, from an array of designers that includes Thom Browne, Rodarte, Suno, and Katie Ermilio, among others. But photographer Cedric Buchet's dramatic campaign, which is called "La Vie en Rose," doesn't simply feature the flowers on the clothing. Instead, a number of blooms were digitally superimposed over the photos to create a buoyant visual effect. Some of the flowers float over Kloss's lithe figure, while others simply fill whatever room she's in. A look at the campaign here in the gallery.

2013 Fall NYFW: Rodarte, Where Rocker Chicks and Girlie-Girls Collide

The look at Rodarte for Fall 2013 was all about the contrast: a rocker girl and a princess all rolled into one.

The look at Rodarte for Fall 2013 was all about the contrast: a rocker girl and a princess all rolled into one. The hair took on an edgy, ethereal look that paired loads of texture with a rose-like braid/bun hybrid behind the head. Odile Gilbert, working with John Frieda, described the look as a rocker princess with a cool, undone texture. Want to ace this look yourself? Click through to see how.

2013 Fall New York Fashion Week: Rodarte

Rodarte's Fall 2013 collection could be summed up in four words: punk rock prom queen.

Rodarte's Fall 2013 collection could be summed up in four words: punk rock prom queen. Designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy stayed true to their signature artful colour clashing and pattern play while also introducing new, sexier silhouettes. Their always ethereal aesthetic got a jolt of edgy sex appeal with skin-baring cut-outs and mesh bodices — not the mention the '90s-era bodysuits worn under low-slung trousers (a look that we all tried at one time during our youth). Sticking with the grunge-inspired feel, cropped leggings were worn under diaphanous dresses and topped with slouchy leather jackets, and each look was topped with layers of chunky gold chains, tough-girl earrings, or spiked headbands.

  • Colours: Black, camel, and white (with pops of purple, pink, red, and blue).
  • Trends: Cut-outs, sheer panels, ruffles, tie-dye.
  • Shoes: Ankle-strap, Mary Jane-style platforms worn with floral socks.
  • Front-row fixtures: Carine Roitfeld, Kate Lanphear, and '90s rock style icon Kim Gordon.
  • Beauty look: Loose, romantic half-updos, nude lips with heavy under-eye liner.

2013 SAG Awards: Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington's SAGs gown is a clever mix of the hard and the soft.

Kerry Washington's SAGs gown is a clever mix of the hard and the soft. The Django Unchained star opted for directional yet pretty number from Rodarte; the delicate lace edging and beaded embellishment softening the finish of her structured bodice gown. A silver-edged snakeskin box clutch, black jet and diamond cocktail ring and diamond-drop earrings pulled the tonal look together. All in favour, say aye. . .

Freida and Cate Face Off in Gorgeous Gowns — Who Gets Your Vote?

Their dresses may be different, but there's one thing Freida Pinto and Cate Blanchett have in common: just how stunning they both look in their red-carpet attire.

Their dresses may be different, but there's one thing Freida Pinto and Cate Blanchett have in common: just how stunning they both look in their red-carpet attire. The two starlets attended the Dubai Film Festival premiere of Life of Pi in jaw-dropping floor-length creations that, quite frankly, make it really hard for us to name a clear best-dressed "winner." Freida chose a one-of-a-kind gold lamé Ralph Lauren gown — complete with a jewelled serpent-headed collar — and finished the look off with a Ferragamo clutch and Charlotte Olympia heels. Where Freida may have excelled in gilded silhouettes, Cate nailed a riskier form of ethereal style. Remember this Rodarte Spring 2013 look? Well, the Aussie actress donned this futuristic-turned-romantic dusty-blue gown with natural makeup and a chic pulled-back updo, giving it an altogether softer feel. Are you feeling the utter perfection of Freida's gold number or is it Cate's gorgeous (with just a hint of edge) ensemble that has you sold? Vote below!
