The 2013 Billboard Music Awards, which were hosted by Tracy Morgan, took over the MGM Grand in Las Vegas today! The stars hit the red carpet to kick off proceedings and then made their way inside to get the fun started. Bruno Mars stuck to his usual suited up look in red ensemble to open the show while Carly Rae Jepsen, who won top digital song and two other honours, debuted hair of the same hue when she took the microphone to announce Icona Pop's performance of "I Love It." Shania Twain handed out the first statue of the event to Nicki Minaj, who won top rap artist, while Selena Gomez took the stage to perform "Come & Get It." Tracy had a little fun in front of the audience by challenging Psy to a dance off while Macklemore and Ryan Lewis teamed up to sing their top rap song, "Thrift Shop."

Taylor Swift, who picked up six awards before the show even started and two more, including artist of the year, during the broadcast, was another of the show's performers, belting out "22" after walking the carpet in a bright blue Zuhair Murad dress. Other big winners included Rihanna and Gotye, each with four trophies, as well as Justin Bieber with the milestone award.

The 2013 Billboard Music Awards red carpet is heating up, with Selena Gomez leading the pack. The singer was one of the first to arrive — and she did so in an eye-catching neon-edged Atelier Versace gown from the label's Spring '13 collection. Also in the mix? What a massive week it's been, and it all started with the smallest of things — the teeny tiny baby growing inside Kate Middleton's belly! The watching world was whipped into a total frenzy as Kate and Wills' news — and her subsequent hospitalisation — became public knowledge. Also in London, Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried and Hugh Jackman attended the world premiere of their new film Les Misérables (get the tissues ready, it hits cinemas December 26), while across the pond, in New York, Taylor Swift and Harry Styles were stealing attention as they seemingly made their relationship official. And of course, our favourite mother-and-son duo Miranda and Flynn were out and about again, looking so happy and sweet together. Justin Bieber, Alicia Keys and Ke$ha showed their holiday spirit at KIIS-FM's Jingle Ball in LA last night. The Nokia Theatre housed the annual event, with a star-studded performance lineup that featured Justin, Flo Rida, The Wanted and Psy. We caught up with Flo Rida as he headed inside, and he revealed he planned to pump himself up to take the mic by doing a few push-ups. After walking the red carpet, Alicia Keys made a surprise appearance on stage.

Justin belted out his hit single "All Around the World," then flashed his abs for fans during "Baby." Before his revealing performance, Justin was reportedly holding hands with Selena Gomez. Between his on-again girlfriend's company and a strong performance, Justin later tweeted about the Jingle Ball's being a "great show."

With nominees ranging from Justin Bieber to Gotye, the 2012 American Music Awards were always going to be a spectacular mix of rock stars, pop musicians and country crooners, and the red carpet arrivals so far haven't disappointed in the glamour stakes. New Artist of the Year nominee Carly Rae Jepsen sparkled in floor-length Gomez Garcia, while Ke$ha followed the pretty in pink theme in a mini lace confection. Taylor Swift stuck to her golden girl style in Zuhair Murad, and Pink mixed textures in a leather-bodiced bronze gown. The 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards took over Frankfurt, Germany, early this morning, where some of the world’s biggest music acts performed and received honours in front of their peers and fans. British singer Rita Ora opened the show with an electric performance of “R.I.P.” that Kim Kardashian said was her highlight of the event. “We Are Young” rockers fun. took to the stage soon after, and two of the year’s biggest tracks, “Call Me Maybe” and “Gangnam Style,” were performed by Carly Rae Jepsen and Psy respectively. Music veterans Alicia Keys and No Doubt wowed the crowds and Taylor Swift closed the Heidi Klum-hosted show with a circus-inspired rendition of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” The big winners of the MTV EMAs include Taylor, One Direction, Justin Bieber and Lana Del Rey — you can find the full list of winners here.

We were positively spoiled for choice this week as multitude of stylish stars stepped out around town.
