Just when you think you're one step ahead of the game (hello, Spring 2013), designers push the seasonal envelope with another onslaught of covet-worthy collections to contend with. That's right, Pre-Fall 2013 is here. Sure, the pieces may not be available for a while, but — and this is a big but — there is enough spot-on styling inspiration inside to cultivate a fresh spin on your wardrobe wares now. If you're on the lookout for a new layered approach, Cèline's fur coat, plus everything else, look provides a good starting point. If you plan on sticking to feminine silhouettes, Carven's lace-covered, crisp-collared minidresses might be exactly what your styling M.O. needs. Or, if you're just craving a midseason pick-me-up, Yigal Azrouël's python-infused black biker jackets are kind of amazing. First Look! Stella McCartney Reveals Her Pre-Fall '13 Collection

Stella McCartney just revealed her pre-Fall '13 collection, and it's not surprise that it's filled with covetable pieces we'd like to get our hands on now. A select few, like Anna Wintour, Kim Cattrall, and Mary-Louise Parker, were able to see the collection in the flesh last night at an intimate soirée in NYC — but we have all the newly released photos from Stella's look book for you to check out right here. Staying true to her penchant for effortless silhouettes, Stella highlighted sleek separates in the way of boxy oversize coats, printed bomber jackets, loose trousers, and billowy blouses. Bold stripes were splashed on trousers, dresses, and even on gowns, emoting a chic, sportif feel everywhere you looked. Meanwhile, intricate embroidered capes and blazers injected an opulent touch to Stella's streamlined offerings. Our favourite piece? A slouched navy jumpsuit featuring a drop waist and metallic links across the chest — sport-chic at its best. Tale a peek! Images courtesy of Stella McCartney

Emma Stone Is First to Wear Lanvin Pre-Fall at Gangster Squad Premiere

This may not be the first time Emma Stone has stepped out in a Lanvin LRD (remember her plastic-flower-embellished number at last year's Met Gala?), but her stunning strapless dress at last night's LA premiere of Gangster Squad sealed the deal on her status as both a red-carpet queen and a fashion darling.

The actress chose a red woven silk and brocade sweetheart-neckline Pre-Fall 2013 dress — she's the first to step out in the latest collection — which she accented with rich Lanvin costume jewels. We love that the oversize crystal necklace played up her bare décolletage, but never took away from the overtly feminine silhouette. Elsewhere, she let the crystal flower brooch make a waist-cinching statement (no explanation needed there). To finish, she added a Lanvin rectangle clutch and matching Christian Louboutin Pigalle heels. If we learned anything from her impressive Amazing Spider-Man promo tour, it's that Emma is fearless where premiere style is concerned. And since this is the first "stop" on the Gangster Squad circuit, we're excited to see what's next from the (currently) blonde beauty. Here's an all-angles look at her opulent Lanvin ensemble, right this way.

That's right, Pre-Fall 2013 is here. If you're on the lookout for a new layered approach, Christopher Kane's sweatshirt-over-a-gown look provides a good starting point. If you plan on sticking to feminine silhouettes, Lanvin's punched-up prints, albeit showcased on the most classic of silhouettes, might be exactly what your styling M.O. needs. Chanel Goes Scottish For Its Métiers d'Art Pre-Fall Runway Show

For Chanel's annual Métiers d'Art collection — a Pre-Fall collection that focuses on a signature aspect of the fashion house — Karl Lagerfeld transported everyone to Scotland.

For Chanel's annual Métiers d'Art collection — a Pre-Fall collection that focuses on a signature aspect of the fashion house — Karl Lagerfeld transported everyone to Scotland. Quick history lesson: Coco Chanel used to frequent Scotland in the '20s during her love affair with the Duke of Westminster, and consequently, her time in the country greatly influenced her designs during that time. Yesterday, Karl Lagerfeld re-created that special moment in Chanel history in true grandiose form with a show that took place at the Linlithgow Palace. Yes, leave it to Karl to hold a fashion show in the same castle Mary Queen of Scots was born in. With front-row attendees like Poppy Delevingne and Caroline Sieber watching closely, Karl showcased super-luxurious looks with gorgeous knits from the iconic Scottish cashmere brand Barrie Knitwear, sumptuous plaid and tartan dresses, and cozy outerwear. "It's the idea of Scotland, the mix of Coco Chanel and Mary Stuart — two queens of fashion," said Lagerfeld. As usual, Lagerfeld injected a modern touch into the collection via printed tights, baggy shorts, and '90s grungy military boots. The results? A collection we'd like to get our hands on ASAP.
