Marion Cotillard has always caught my attention for being a great actress who wears beautiful clothes, namely, Christian Dior. It's obvi that she's drop-dead-gorgeous, but it's only now that I've truly realised what a beauty she is. The French actress got down to basics in a pared-down but striking shoot forInterview magazine's August issue. Draped in Dior, Alberta Ferretti and a mix of other dreamy pieces, Marion poses in a romantic sequence of steamy shots which wouldn't look out of place in an art gallery. Posing half-nude and half-clothed works really well for the Frenchie, I must say. Interview's shoots can always lean towards the kooky side (hello, Megan Fox and mannequin friend), but this spread shot by Mikael Jansson is absolutely breathtaking.
This week saw the end of The Hills, which is kinda sad but had its good points too, the main one being that it reunited LC and Whitney Port with the show that started their fashion careers. Ashley Greene took to the ESPY Awards red carpet in sparkling red Versace, and Louis Vuitton hosted a cocktail party that saw some pretty ladies wearing two completely different LV looks. Who else was on our style radar this week? Click on to find out.
Marion Cotillard has been busy doing the rounds for her new movie, Inception, in both London and Paris this past weekend. Her looks, as always, have been quintessentially French chic with an individual twist thrown in. For the world premiere in London, she chose a printed Thakoon dress with uneven hemline, black patent heels and fine gold jewellery; while for her hometown of Paris she stayed true to her trusty Dior in a heavenly lace dress with tan Jimmy Choo heels. I really admire both these looks and would happily steal either, but the lacy Dior wins by a smidge in my eyes. Do you agree?
How cute does French actress Marion Cotillard look in her Ray-Ban striped clubmaster sunnies? I must say, I never really took Marion for a wacky-frame type a gal, but there you go, those Frenchies always have a way of surprising us! She's shielding her eyes from the glare at Cannes and I'm loving that she's chosen such a fun style to team back with her red dress. You can get your hands on these exact shades for $249.95 by calling the local Ray-Ban stockists number on 1300 655 612. Parfait!
Marion went the screen siren route for tonight, and it suits her well. This fits-like-a-glove sparkler is no-nonsense red carpet fare. I'm guessing this is her favourite: Christian Dior. Either way, it's rockin'. She's rockin'. What more is there to say? I put it to you.
Fab Frenchie Marion Cotillard continues to star in Christian Dior's high-drama ads. This Spring, the chase continues, where Cotillard is caught with a secret agent, the Chinese city's sci-fi skyscrapers serving as the fantastical background. Steven Klein shot the scene, titled Lady Blue. This campaign is the third in a four-chapter series; stay tuned for a 12-minute film directed by David Lynch, debuting on Ladydior.com May 15. This is also the day Galliano will show Dior's cruise collection in Shanghai. It's all coming together. Galliano explains: “In the David Lynch film, Marion is reciting a poem that he wrote, and was inspired by the Pearl Tower itself. The words and building fuse in the picture he paints on-screen. Shanghai is such a vibrant and inspiring city.” Are you smitten?

Just when Fab favourite Diane Kruger is trying to wear less white, Hollywood is selecting it as the 2010 award season colour of choice. Though white is traditionally associated with bridal, these dresses are thoroughly modern and red carpet apropo. From cocktail to floor-grazing, simple to complex, check out the SAG Awards' most heavenly colour trend.
Beading, colour, draping, feathers and frou frou — it was all on offer at yesterday's Sag Awards. Overall I was quite impressed with the red carpet choices, particularly all the delicate draping and ornate embellishments featuring on gowns. Standouts were Diane Kruger, (props to her for making mustard look amazing), Marion Cotillard (her Elie Saab mini dress fit like a glove) and Drew Barrymore (loved the bust-detail), with honourable mentions also going out to Dianna Agron and Sandra Bullock.
