Miley Cyrus has done it again! The "Wrecking Ball" singer stole the show at last night's MTV European Music Awards in Amsterdam. But Miley wasn't the only star who helped make it another MTV night to remember. We're recapping the four biggest can't-miss moments from the big show right now.
The MTV EMAs celebrated its 20th anniversary at the cutting-edge Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam today. Stars like Bruno Mars, Ariana Grande, and the night's emcee, Redfoo, hit the red carpet for what proved to be an exciting show. Presenters Iggy Azalea and Ellie Goulding both arrived in showstopping gowns, while the boys from Kings of Leon, who performed during the ceremony, were joined on the red carpet by none other than Ron Burgundy (aka Will Ferrell). Will, as Ron, presented the global icon award to Eminem backstage. The rapper thanked his fans for all their support over the years and gave a nod to Anchorman by saying, "I love award." Miley Cyrus popped up in a risque ensemble on the red carpet before opening the show with a space-age performance of her hit single "We Can't Stop". She changed into a skintight white leotard for a heartfelt rendition of "Wrecking Ball" before accepting the best video award for the song and smoking a joint onstage. Also making a quick-change during the night was Katy Perry, who went for the pop princess look in a satin Zac Posen gown before taking flight in a bejeweled jumpsuit, while Bruno Mars turned the EMAs stage into a strip club — the "Gorilla" singer reenacted the song's racy music video for his set.
So, what do you think — was Miley outdone? Or does her red carpet look reign supreme?

The 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards took over Frankfurt, Germany, early this morning, where some of the world’s biggest music acts performed and received honours in front of their peers and fans. British singer Rita Ora opened the show with an electric performance of “R.I.P.” that Kim Kardashian said was her highlight of the event. “We Are Young” rockers fun. took to the stage soon after, and two of the year’s biggest tracks, “Call Me Maybe” and “Gangnam Style,” were performed by Carly Rae Jepsen and Psy respectively. Music veterans Alicia Keys and No Doubt wowed the crowds and Taylor Swift closed the Heidi Klum-hosted show with a circus-inspired rendition of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” The big winners of the MTV EMAs include Taylor, One Direction, Justin Bieber and Lana Del Rey — you can find the full list of winners here.
The 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards kicked off in Frankfurt, Germany, a few hours ago, and while the event is all about music, we only had eyes for the fashion. Alicia Keys was looking fabulous in a form-fitting block-colour Stella McCartney dress, while Taylor Swift stuck to her tried-and-true formula of metallics and sparkles — her beauty look was gorgeous, too. Lana Del Rey was looking decidedly conservative with a pretty navy satin gown and stylist Lousie Roe rocked a dress by Aussie label sass & bide. But best in show so far? Rita Ora, in a red lace Marchesa concoction — she totally owns the red carpet. Click through the gallery to see all the pics so far, and be sure to check back for updates!
The 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards have already kicked off in Frankfurt but before the show got started lots of international music stars walked the red carpet. Taylor Swift lit up the arrivals in an embellished J. Mendel dress, and Rita Ora, the show’s opening act, made sure all eyes were on her as she made her entrance in a big red gown. Kim Kardashian walked the red carpet solo and met up with boyfriend Kanye West inside, and Gwen Stefani posed along the media wall with her No Doubt bandmates before taking to the stage. There are plenty more celeb arrivals to check out, including Alicia Keys, Psy and Lana Del Rey, so click through for all the snaps. Plus you can watch the Heidi Klum-hosted show on MTV now!

The 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards were held in Belfast today, bringing together some of the world’s biggest music acts. Selena Gomez hosted the show, and in true host fashion she had multiple costume changes and even performed with her band The Scene. The honours were decided by music fans, with more than 158 million votes tallied to decide the winners of the silver globe trophies. Lady Gaga’s little monsters certainly had pulling power, as before the show even started she was handed the Biggest Fans award. Then, as the announcements took place on stage, she also took home Best Song and Best Video for “Born This Way.” Katy Perry won the show’s first award for Best Live, and she said, “This is probably my favourite award because my fans mean so much to me.” She went on to say how it took commitment for people to attend concerts, as opposed to downloading music. The night had some interesting turns, such as an Irish streaker and Lady Gaga’s crazy (as usual) choice of attire. Other big winners on the night included Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars and Eminem, while show-stopping performances came from world class acts like Coldplay, who opened, LMFAO, David Guetta with Taio Cruz, Ludacris and Jessie J, and Global Icon winners Queen, who closed the show with the help of Adam Lambert.
The MTV EMAs air on MTV Australia at 3 p.m.
