First Look: Rihanna's Second River Island Collection Includes "Gangsta" Florals
Rihanna's second River Island collection is slated to debut May 25, but that certainly doesn't mean you'll be in the dark about what's to come. The UK brand released a behind-the-scenes video today, which not only supplied us with our first look at the singer's latest Summer capsule, but also gave us a little more insight into what goes into a Rihanna collaboration. She chatted candidly with co-designer Adam Selman (fun fact: this isn't the first time she's worked with him — the proof here), revealed her favourite piece and where she plans on wearing it, and expounded on "gangsta" florals. To watch the exclusive sneak peek, plus a complete look at the first Rihanna For River Island collection and campaign, just keep clicking.

News flash: the delightful Geneva Vanderzeil from A Pair and a Spare blog-fames has collaborated on a a capsule collection of tricked up heels with Tony Bianco. We spotted the ever-smiling Geneva skipping between shows during fashion week and couldn't help but do a double-take at her chain-strap t-bar pumps. Now we know that her two-tone wheels were a prototype her own just-released line. Joining the crafty lineup are lace-up, super-strappy and fringed stiletto styles too, which retail for between $199.95 and $219.95. Margaret Zhang from Shine by Three lensed, and helped to style the killer shoot. After clicking through this street-style inspired campaign you'll want a pair and a couple of spares, at least! Stone Fox Bride Serves Up the Ultimate Anti-Wedding Bridal Gowns
With a tagline like "F*ck weddings," you know you're in for a treat. US label Stone Fox Bride released its Spring 2013 look book this week, featuring designer Pamela Love lip-locking with none other than Jemima Kirke — also known as Jessa Johansson from HBO's Girls. While it may be considered a strong statement (with same-sex marriage laws being debated as we speak), it also simply highlights the elegance and grace of two women together, wearing beautifully crafted dresses. If you're a bride who essentially hates all things bridal, then Stone Fox Bride is your go-to for beautiful non-wedding wedding dresses. The brand eschews "anything puffy or fluffy, stiff flowers, and pink cupcakes" and is more for the backyard barbecue bride than the stuffy princess type.
We love how the line celebrates "looking like a more radiant version of your regular self," and prioritises being cool and comfortable over everything else. Each custom-made dress is hand-draped in New York and made with fabrics sourced from Italy, India, and France. Stone Fox Bride has a plethora of colours to choose — you can even dream up your own ombré combination — in addition to tons of lengths, silhouettes, and styles. With evocative style names like The Frida, The June Carter, and, of course, The Jemima, each gown has a cool, laid-back personality of its own. If you prefer floral crowns to traditional veils and long and lacy rather than big and poufy, then this is the bridal line for you. Best bit? They ship to Oz! Miranda Kerr Brings The Heat For Mango's Summer 2013 Campaign
It's been a big few weeks for Miranda Kerr! First came the announcement that her contract as the face of David Jones was not going to be renewed (cue gorgeous Jessica Gomes taking her place), now comes her latest campaign for Spanish fashion house, Mango. . . And news that she's going back to David Jones — sort of. Let's start with the campaign. Shot by famed photographers Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadinand, who also worked on Miranda's first campaign for Mango, the Summer 2013 collection features a couple of body-con dresses in a jewel tone bright and white, easy neutrals, denim and a spot of paisley print — including on a jacket that Miranda loved.
And now, we'll have even greater access to the clothes, with news this morning that Mango is set to land exclusively in David Jones stores. The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the brand will be stocked in all capital cities by August, and in every DJs store in the country by the year's end, with new stock landing every two weeks. We'll wait patiently, but here you can click through to see Miranda working her magic, and dancing up a storm for Mango.

When we think of Dion Lee (which we do, regularly), we think modern, structured, sexy, futuristic — and it goes without saying that we love every aspect of his clever detailing. First Look at Zimmermann's S/S 2013-'14 Collection
This morning we were treated to a first look at Zimmermann's Spring/Summer '13-'14 collection. Simone and Nicky Zimmermann may not be showing at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia this year (sniff), but the fact that they let us select, style and shoot our favourite look from the range almost made up for it. Nicky talked us through the range, explaining that her and Simone took inspiration from their collective memory of watching St Trinian's on TV — manifested mainly via preppy, PE-uniform shapes. Elastic-waisted tunic dresses were cool in illustrated school-shield emblems, the humble netball skirt was pretty in botanical florals and windcheaters were made feather-light thanks to fluid silks. Treated laces in shiny black and solid gold and silver metallics were a particular standout for eveningwear, with striking panelling and flirty silhouettes stealing our hearts.
But our absolute favourite was a bow-backed embroidered gingham crop top, which we paired with a full floral silk skater skirt. BYO trumpet. The collection will be dropping globally in June/July, just in time for our S/S season — but this delectable line-up is sure to be devoured by Zimmermann's international customer base too prior to their first New York fashion week show in September. If this first taste of S/S '13-'14 is anything to go by, the season is going to be a good one. Image courtesy of Holly Blake and Zimmermann.
Just in: The Kate Young For Target Lookbook Is Here
Target in the US has tapped celebrity stylist Kate Young for its latest collaboration, and come April 14, the partnership will yield a fun, playful limited-edition line-up of semi-formal and special-occasion dresses. Before the official launch, though, we're getting our first look at the (appropos) Kate Young-styled lookbook. This is a bit of a changeup where designer collaborations are concerned, seeing as this doesn't exactly fall under the designer category, but the mass retailer is all about reinventing the wheel. And you can see some of this "reinvention" already happening in the way each party-perfect look is styled.
The Kate Young For Target Collection will range from US$30 to $90 for apparel, and US$15 to $50 for jewellery, handbags, and shoes. Those prices are worth a trip to the US, don't you think? At the very least, you could get a friend over there to hook you up with these cool duds — that's what friends are for, right? For now, click on for the complete lookbook, along with the so-cool Terry Richardson-shot ad campaign, a few of Young's sneak-peek sketches, and some of the stylish stars who come to her for styling expertise.
