So, I was going about my usual business, stalking my favourite 4056 magazine sites, when a familiar face caught my eye. "Well if it isn't Larsy Bingle!" I said to no one in particular, and guess what, I was right! Lara was snapped on the streets of New York for ELLE's regular Street Chic section wearing a slightly dishevelled combo of Bassike tee, Ksubi shorts, Topshop boots and PS1 bag. She looked every inch the model off-duty so it's no wonder the international title zoned in on her street vibe. Considering the unwanted media attention surrounding her recent breakup with Michael Clarke, this innocent fashion pic may have been just what the fairy godmother ordered!
It's the last day of Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, and what better way to kick off the finale than with one last look at all the celebs from the week. Front-rows were a little low on international guests this year (no Alexa or Olivia), but local faces have been popping up all over. Lara Bingle, of course, has been to most shows, and stars such as Gracie Otto and April Rose Pengilly have definitely had their fair share of catwalk moments. I must say it's always been fun spotting Alyssa Sutherland out and about on site — not only is she incredibly beautiful, but her style is right on the money everytime. Click through our gallery and get ready for day five of RAFW!
Let's take a break from all the shows — for just one moment — and zone in on an RAFW partay, shall we? Last night's Harper's BAZAAR and BlackBerry soiree attracted the who's who of Sydney's fashion scene, as well as a few famous faces. Lara Bingle (In Burberry) took a break from her blogging duties to attend, and Terry Biviano had a well deserved drink after producing some spectacular heels for Dion Lee's show today. Click through our slideshow to stalk all the beautiful people.
Camilla and Marc's shows are always a highlight, and this year's Spring/Summer collection was no exception. Cool kids, take note. This is what you'll be lusting after come the warmer months ahead. Multicoloured tweeds, buttery leather, sleek tailoring and luxe draping were all right on the money and so utterly wearable, while sheer panelling and peek-a-boo cut outs managed to look more elegant than risqué thanks to clever layering. This year marked the first ever Camilla and Marc jewellery collection which added a tough element to all the soft colours and swishy fabrics. Trust me, nose rings have never looked so chic.
Front-row spotting: Lara Bingle, Garance Doré, Gracie Otto and April Rose Pengilly.
Harper's BAZAAR has just confirmed Lara Bingle as their exclusive guest blogger and presenter during Rosemount Australian Fashion Week. Lars will be responsible for hosting BAZAAR TV as well as reporting on all the front row and backstage goss from the week. This partnership doesn't really come as a surprise given her stylist of choice is none other than BAZAAR's fashion editor Christine Centenera.
What do you think about this? Does Lara Bingle have the fashion chops to pull off such an exclusive role?
Well there goes my theory of a couple that dresses well together, stays together. Boo. Poor Lara Bingle. I get the feeling she really enjoyed having a partner who completely took on her fashion advice and style. I mean, I can't imagine Michael Clarke working a Prada suit on his own accord, can you? In fact, if it wasn't for Lara, I wouldn't even know who Michael Clarke was, let alone what he wears. Don't judge people.
This is one Australian power couple who were as famous for their wardrobes as they were their public spats. It'll be interesting to see what happens now they no longer share a walk-in. Will Lars still drive her Aston Martin in YSL heels? Will Pup burn his designer suits and flaunt his cricket whites off the pitch? So many pressing questions. I'm interested to hear your take on this. Do you think Michael will tone down his style now he no longer has a high-fashion loving partner? Or will he wave the designer flag without her?
Let's take a break from all the Fashion Week coverage and focus on something a little closer to home, hmm? Cricket Australia's 2010 Allan Border Medal was held last night in Melbourne's Crown Towers ballroom, and while we know it's all about honouring the cricket players, of course, the WAGs took centre stage.
Lara Bingle and Michael Clarke were definitely standouts in the fashion stakes, with Lara in a Michelle Jank plunging white dress and Pup choosing a Prada dinner suit for the occasion. Can you notice the Chanel body-tattoos Lara's rocking instead of accessories? I've tried these myself and let me tell you peeps, they are F.U.N! I can't imagine they'd respond well to body heat or flashing cameras, though. Still, this power couple certainly impressed with their high-fashion style. What do you think of Lara's white ensemble?
Swarming with beauties, WHO magazine celebrated their 2009 Sexiest People issue with a star studded event in Sydney. Local celebrities making the cut include Megan Gale, Ruby Rose, Lara Bingle and Sonia Kruger. Miranda Kerr topped the list but was noticeably absent from the soiree.
It seems rock chic was the look du jour, with most celebs opting for LBD's (Megan Gale in Herve Leger, no less), mixed with tough accessories. Sexy indeed.
