Collab to Keep an Eye Out for: Swarovski by Shourouk

Brilliant-cut fuchsia gems, sparkling fancy-cut emerald-hued stones and more bling than is decent to wear during daylight hours — that's what you get when you mix the creative talents of cult jewellery designer Shourouk with the global crystal powerhouse that is Swarovski.

Brilliant-cut fuchsia gems, sparkling fancy-cut emerald-hued stones and more bling than is decent to wear during daylight hours  that's what you get when you mix the creative talents of cult jewellery designer Shourouk with the global crystal powerhouse that is Swarovski. For the house's Autumn/Winter collection, Swarovski has taken a cross-continental trip, finding inspiration from locations as far flung as China, Venice, the Himalayas and last but not least - India, which is where the ornate aesthetic of Sharouk comes in. Nathalie Colin, Swarovski's creative director, said of the collaboration, “Shourouk has always worked with Swarovski crystals in her own line, so this is a perfect match. And her world, inspired by the jewelry of the Maharajas, fits perfectly with the spirit of our ‘Secret Treasures’ collection.” Before the killer collab drops in stores and online in July, we thought we'd share a preview of our favourite pieces. Stockists: 1300 791 599.

Accessory of the Week: Bar Studs

Often, trends take on a more adventurous edge — like say, punk-themed accessories or vibrant ethnic-inspired pieces — so it's refreshing when things swing towards a more minimal aesthetic.

They're dainty, delicate and edgy all at once, and whether you like yours with studs, black diamonds (yes, please), or plain and simple like Ginnifer Goodwin's, there's a pair to appeal to everyone. Accessory of the Week: Tribal 2.0

When you think of the word "tribal", chances are, you think of chunky brown and orange beads, circa 2002.

When you think of the word "tribal", chances are, you think of chunky brown and orange beads, circa 2002. But scratch that — tribal is back, and it's bigger, better, bolder, brighter and more beautiful than ever. We've done away with African tribal, and we're welcoming the updated, more worldly version — think ikat, aztec and Mexican-inspired prints, neon brights and tonnes of embellishments and you're on the right track. Far from being tacky, these pieces are all you need to pick up your wintery style, and who better to lead the way than style icon Caroline Issa? When you see her line for Kate Middleton-favourtie L.K. Bennett, you'll see what we mean when we say that the new tribal is about to go global. Shop our top 10 picks now!

Accessory Of The Week: Iridescent Extras

When big-name labels like Stella McCartney, Lanvin and Proenza Schouler are leading the way, you know you can't really go wrong with this big trend.

When big-name labels like Stella McCartney, Lanvin and Proenza Schouler are leading the way, you know you can't really go wrong with this big trend. And we're talking big — big shine, big statement, big impact. Yep, iridescent colour ain't for the faint of heart. After being deemed one of the biggest trends on the catwalk at the Spring 2013 shows late last year, we swooned when we saw the oyster shell-effect skirt Raf Simons created for the Christian Dior lineup, and model-of-the-moment Cara Delevingne worked a maxed-out metallic Burberry dress in reflective green. Not keen on all-over shine? Worry not, for we have found 10 of the best-looking ways to add a smaller touch of metal to your main look. Shoes, bags, earrings, the lot — the world is your oyster.

Accessory of the Week: Chokers Gone Chic

A few months ago we were all about the chunky choker, but inevitably, with trends moving faster than we can blink our eyes, our attention has now turned to more refined versions of these '90s-style neckpieces.

A few months ago we were all about the chunky choker, but inevitably, with trends moving faster than we can blink our eyes, our attention has now turned to more refined versions of these '90s-style neckpieces. Having spotted choker-queen Christine Centenera wearing finer black pieces at last month's various Fashion Weeks, and fashion writer Stephanie LaCava giving them a red-hot go too, we're sold on the idea of bringing these dainty necklaces back to life. There's no limit to the variations — think leather, velvet, mixed metals, all in thin, fine form. Our Pick of Pandora's New Season Jewellery Range

It's easy to think of charm bracelets when you first think of PANDORA, but did you know that the jewellery brand first started over 30 years ago in Denmark, and now boasts its own manufacturing facility, stockists in over 65 countries and more than 670 concept stores worldwide? It's no wonder that PANDORA designs a unique mix of fine jewellery and watches suitable for every age, style and continent today, including the iconic charm bracelets, which first came onto the scene in 2000 and get updated each season with new materials, designs and finishes.

The new season range of products takes the natural beauty of cherry blossoms and transforms rings, bracelets and earrings into delicate works of art featuring freshwater clustered pearls and pink enamel embellishments. Cherry blossom pavè and Murano glass charms adorn leather wrap bracelets, while barely-there rings provide strength in numbers by clever layering.

If you're after something a little more regal, PANDORA's popular crown charm is transformed into a pendant, crafted from solid sterling silver and set with 48 cubic zirconia gemstones, while sea-coloured glass charms pop against modern gunmetal grey bracelets. It seems PANDORA's mission to offer women across the world a universe of quality, hand-finished and modern jewellery at affordable prices has hit the mark, with pieces starting at just $39.
