Finding that your favourite fragrance is just a bit too overwhelming on your skin? Taking your perfume from headache-inducing to seductively subtle is as simple as layering. The first thing to do is to reach for a fragrance that has a matching lotion, and we love for Gucci Première (from $96) and its matching perfumed body lotion ($70) — the scent featuring Blake Lively as its face.
After you get out of the shower, spray the perfume on your skin first, focusing on your pulse points. Once the fragrance has fully dried, layer on the lotion that matches it. The lotion will have a muddling effect on the perfume, which will give you a more subtle scent. If you're using a perfumed body wash, then the effect will be even more heightened. You'll still be left with your favourite scent, but in a lighter form. Even those with the most sensitive of noses will be left with a scent that doesn't require a couple aspirin to stomach.
A new month brings a new crop of exciting new products to try, and October is especially so. Why we hear you ask? Because it involves real gold top coat and the ability to smell like Blake Lively! Add to that our new favourite trend, turquoise eyes, and dry shampoo specially formulated for oily scalps. It's like they read our minds! Spring is here so there's no better time to try a new lipgloss, and one of our favourite's is now available in six new shades. More of a matte lipstick girl? Burberry Beauty has a new one called Lip Velvet. It's almost too delicious. Click through.
After seeing the teaser back in August, we're very excited to show you director Nicolas Winding Refn's cut of Blake Lively's Gucci Première commercial. Shot at one of Beverly Hills's most opulent locations, the Sheats Goldstein Residence, this time around we see longer scenes of Blake in her stunning gold dress and that amazing blonde hair, and then again in the desert with a punchy red lip, strutting towards a fan. The scent has top notes of orange blossom and bergamot, but is still very sweet.
Let's just say, the Venice Film Festival glamour was on high alert all weekend long. Between Gucci's Women in Cinema awards and the brand's Gucci Premiere fragrance launch party, the red carpet was buzzing with stylish ensembles from the likes of Blake Lively, Salma Hayek, Charlotte Casiraghi, and Brit Marling. Blake, the face of Gucci Premiere, struck a sexy note with her embellished burgundy-hued Gucci Premiere cocktail dress, while Salma took a slightly more romantic approach in a black Gucci beaded number. That's not all — we spotted Laetitia Casta in a stunning peachy Elie Saab Couture creation at The Master premiere, Winona Ryder in a dramatic black lace Dolce & Gabbana gown for The Iceman premiere, ceremonies host Kasia Smutniak in yet another gorgeous Valentino gown. If you've missed even a moment of the Venice Film Festival style action, you've come to the right place. See the best looks from all angles now.
After seeing a sneak peek at the print advertisement and then going on to find out what Blake Lively would smell like if she walked past us right now, her teaser commercial as the face of Gucci Première is the finishing touch. Blake looks stunning with her blonde hair worn straight, and also rocks a red lip in a desert scene as she walks towards a large fan. Directed by Drive's Nicolas Winding Refn, we love the sepia backdrop and golden tones — it fits in really nicely with the bottle.
Ever since Gucci announced Blake Likely as the face of their new juice, Gucci Première, we've been dying to know what the blonde bombshell currently smells like. Creative Director Frida Giannini was inspired by her modern yet timeless Hollywood glamour (and we bet that hair had something to do with it!), and the fragrance's message is all about strength, power and presence with sensual femininity. The campaign is really beautiful — shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot — who said: "We wanted to have a film effect, almost like a film noir, but with a modern twist." But the question on our minds: If we were to walk past Blake Lively right now, what would she smell like? Click through to find out.
Just last week we revealed she was set to be the new face of Gucci Première, and now we've got a sneak peek at Blake Lively's fragrance campaign for the luxury brand. Gucci Première is due to hits our shores this September (launching first in the UK next month), and we can't wait to see the short film ad campaign, which was filmed by Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn and wil premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
Gossip Girl front woman Blake Lively is known for her high-fashion style (both on set and off). So it's no surprise that the Gucci team has selected the young actress to represent its new couture fragrance, Gucci Première. "She is a girl of extraordinary beauty and she's a girl who loves fashion," Gucci creative director Frida Giannini told WWD. "Although she's young, she's also very determined, and I liked this spirit ... She knows how to be a diva in the right sense, with an aspirational glamour."
Gucci Première hits our shores this September (launching first in the UK next month). But we're looking forward to the short film ad campaign, which was filmed by Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn. We already know there will be breathtaking gowns in the spot, but will it also feature fast cars and synth pop? Can't wait to find out.
Showing off her signature sun-kissed glow and perfectly toned arms, Cameron Diaz looked insanely chic in a cream-coloured strapless Gucci Premiere gown, complete with shimmery tiered ruffles at the hem. She rocked a killer Tiffany & Co. diamond choker necklace and cocktail rings, Salvatore Ferragamo blush satin peep-toe pumps with her nude ensemble. Although we weren't treated to an ultra-leggy Cameron look, we still think this long-and-lean outfit is super polished and pretty. Do you agree?
