Not that we need reminding, but Australian women really are leading the style the pack at the moment. All the proof you need ir right here, with Rose Byrne, Miranda Kerr and Christine Centenera giving us some of our absolute favourite looks of the week. Miranda's look was (believe it or not) just her regular work-day attire — but it was anything but average — while Rose Byrne's simple Emmy Awards gown was one of the best on a red carpet full of dramatic gowns. Christine is a seasoned fashion week style setter, and she didn't let us down this week in Paris. As for the international stars? Taylor Swift wowed us in a beautiful tea dress that we couldn't take our eyes off. Click through to see this week's Top 10 best dressed stars!
Thanks to fashion month (we're onto Milan Week, FYI!), we've been treated to some high fashion looks from the likes of Sienna Miller, Olivia Palermo and Alexa Chung — though, as always, Alexa found a way to incorporate chainstore chic into her look, too. Away from all things Fashion Week, Miranda Kerr once again made the street her catwalk when she stepped out wearing a beautiful seafoam dress by J. Mendel, Gwyneth Paltrow worked it in a crisp white dress (with pockets!) and Olivia pulled off some super-tight pink leathers. There's much more to see — click through to check out this week's Top 10!
Florals led the charge this week, with no less than three of our Top 10 contenders stepping out in girlie prints during the week. Sienna Miller wowed us with her divine Dolce & Gabbana frock — looks like the style queen is back, in a big way! — and Diane Kruger took more of a geometric angle with her complex Mary Katrantzou number. Jennifer Hawkins lit up the dark night with her bright magenta-and-black Yeojin Bae ensemble, and Miranda Kerr flashed those extra-long pins in some extra-tiny shorts. Wanna see? Click through!
It's a super special week in fashion land, as our favourite Diane Kruger turns 37 today! If you've been following us for a while, you'd know Diane is one of our leading ladies. Not only does she always look impeccable on the red carpet, but she has a certain je ne sais quoi about her street style, too. From floor-length gowns, mini frocks, off-duty denim, flirty skirts, tweed jackets and chic sheaths, it's rare to see her in an outfit that doesn't knock our socks off. Watch Diane's style evolve as we take a look back at her fashion moments over the years!
It's hard to look through this week's Top 10 best-dressed list without feeing a pang of longing for hot Summer days. Between Miranda Kerr's sexy and sheer floral skirt (it cost less than $100!) and Diane Kruger's floaty neon green, black and white number, there were a whole lot of bright, skin-grazing materials that left legs bare and hearts racing.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was in Sydney so she was ready to tackle Winter, but she also kept things light with her neutral colour scheme and a pop of red to liven things up. Stepping up the sex appeal, Blake Lively was picture-perfect in nude embellished Burberry Prorsum — in fact, this look of hers is one of our favourites of all time. Diane Kruger stepped onto the red carpet today in LA for the premiere of her new TV series The Bridge, with her star sign clearly on display. The blonde beauty toted a Charlotte Olympia bag from the UK designer's 'comic collection', proudly sporting her Cancer symbol (she was born July 15th) emblazoned front and centre on her peach box clutch bag. And that ephemeral dress? The sheer, maxi number came courtesy of fellow Brit designer Jonathan Saunders, and the shoes were none other than the celebrity-favourite Guerra heel by Givenchy. Add an adorable plus-one to the mix and you've got a killer look, well worth snooping from all every angle. Wanna see?
There's little we love more than seeing how our favourite style stars dress themselves when they're off duty. Why? It's like catching an unguarded glimpse of their personality, free from the restraints of stylists and fashion teams, and full of inspiration. Leading the street style pack this week? Diane Kruger (of course), who made a strong case for midriff-baring tops, and fully reminded us of the power of a cropped jean. Miranda Kerr got loud in leopard, but nothing compared to her neon accessory, and Beyoncé went monochromatic in Topshop. Yes, Topshop. It wasn't all about the street, though — there were a few red carpet moments that stopped us in our tracks, too! Click through to see who made our Top 10.
Diane Kruger doesn't usually do traditional 'sexy' but she put her own spin on pin-up glamour today. Stepping onto the red rug at the Critics' Choice TV Awards in Hollywood, Diane worked the sort of LBD we're used to seeing on the likes of Dita von Teese. An exaggerated sweetheart neckline coupled with some sexy lace edging and a waist-nipping-in silhouette made this a bombshell look. Add a pair of scarlet Manolo Blahnik pumps (which, FYI, she purchased over the weekend at Neiman Marcus), a bold red lip, some diamond-encrusted jewellery and a sleek spotted clutch and you've got a get-up that Betty Boop herself would be proud of. And yet Diane's natural sense of sophistication ensures she's avoids any cartoonish comparisons. We zoomed in her sexy look so you could see it up close, and from all the angles.
Print-on-print ain't an easy look to pull off. Solange Knowles has it down pat, as does Anna Dello Russo — but unless you naturally err on the braver side of the sartorial scale it can be a risk not worth taking. Enter stage left Diane Kruger. Known for her classic and effortless off-duty style, the actress showed us a nifty way of doing double-print — working a low-key combo at producer Joel Silver's annual Memorial Day Malibu beach party over the weekend. She cleverly stuck to a tight colour palette (grey, black and white) to keep thing coordinated, and let one print shine over the over — choosing a larger star-print shirt to wear back with her small-scale polkadot skater skirt. Three-tone wingtip brogues pulled the whole thing together, and her catseye shades and raffia fedora were stylish but neutral background players. Zoom in on Diane's flawless off-duty look, from every angle.
There were two designers whose names were all over the best-dressed lists this week: Christian Dior and Prabal Gurung. Their incredible designs were seen on the likes of Nicole Kidman, Diane Kruger, Jennifer Lawrence and more this week, and we've gotta say, we're seeing some of their best work ever. Diane Kruger might be the only star who can pull off a belly-button-exposing top at a high-class Vogue dinner (and pull it off she did), and we were thrilled to see Jennifer Lawrence opt for something different after a sea of black during the awards season a few months ago. Olivia Palermo showed prints who's boss, Nicole Kidman earned her mega-star status, and Sienna Miller? Well, let's just say we're glad she's back on the scene.
