Lara Bingle has been quietly dating designer Gareth Moody for a few months now and she’s slowly opening up about their relationship. In the new issue of Who, on sale now, the model and star of Being Lara Bingle posed for photos with Gareth that were taken at her 25th birthday dinner last Friday. Unlike Lara’s family and some of her friends, Gareth, who designs for the label Chronicles of Never, hasn’t appeared on her reality show, but he has been mentioned. However he will be seen in the upcoming episode that airs Lara’s birthday — she told us the other week, “He has to come!” On top of the cute portraits, Lara told the publication why she loves her boyfriend: “Gareth is interested in finding out about me and who I am as a person, rather than all the drama around me. As much as he understands my life, he takes me away from the craziness of it all.”

It was hard to miss the buzz surrounding the debut of Lara Bingle’s reality show Being Lara Bingle on Tuesday night. In the first episode we got glimpses of Lara’s professional and personal life, which included meeting the people closest to her (mum Sharon, brother Josh and best friend Hermione Underwood — even her nan through voicemail!). The fast-paced footage also set up what we can expect to see more of as the series unfolds over the next nine weeks: photo shoots, trips to LA and India, and Lara’s upcoming birthday celebrations. We chatted with the sunny 24-year-old about editing, ignoring the cameras and getting on with the show.
Are you guys busy shooting today?
We are. We’re starting in a little bit but I’m having a slow morning. Hermione and I just did yoga so we’re feeling good for the day.
Congratulations on your show’s premiere on Tuesday — who did you watch it with and what did you think?
I had some friends over and we all watched it together. It’s such a surreal thing to watch your life played back, especially since three or four weeks ago we filmed all of that. It makes you realise how lucky and blessed we are living this crazy, great life, but at the same time it’s like wow, so much happens! You just keep going, I guess. It’s weird.

The upcoming star of her own reality show, Being Lara Bingle, joined the hosts of The Project for a chat in the lead-up to the show’s premiere on June 12. She told Dave Hughes, Carrie Bickmore, Charlie Pickering and Andrew Rochford about why she agreed to let cameras follow her around for a series, and teased some storylines, such as her nude photo scandal and romantic tension between her brother Josh and best friend Hermione Underwood. Lara just returned from an overseas trip to LA and India, where some footage for the show was shot.
Lara Bingle grabbed a bite to eat with her best friends Hermione Underwood and Max May in LA yesterday. Cameras trailed the stylish trio to capture footage for Lara’s upcoming reality show Being Lara Bingle, which is tipped to premiere June 12 on Network Ten. Following lunch they made their way to the airport, where Lara, in a navy strapless jumpsuit, was spotted pushing a trolley stacked with luggage. Once inside, she and Hermione killed time by taking funny snaps on a Polaroid. Lara, Hermione, Max and the camera crew were en route to India, where more of Lara’s footage will be shot. She’s expected to be back in Sydney late next week.
