OK, someone needs to introduce me to Kate Bosworth, stat. How else am I meant to have access to her huge range of designer handbags? In the past few months alone I've spotted her with a Mulberry, Chloé, Loewe, and of course, Alexander Wang. She seriously must open up her wardrobe and fall into handbag heaven every single day. Her latest arm candy of choice - apart from spunky Alexander Skarsgard - is the Alexander Wang Diego Bucket Bag. This little puppy seems to be the perfect weekend companion. Soft, slouchy leather; easy drawstring opening; and a touch of hardware in the form of stud detailing. Um, I MUST HAVE IT. Those Disney kids. Seems the only way they can project an older image is through the shedding of clothes. This isn’t the first time Miley’s stripped off her garb (and innocence) in favour of something sexier, but her look backstage at the MuchMusic Awards in Canada still gives us something to talk about. She opted for a cutout mesh bodysuit and super-short shorts paired with striped socks and a headscarf. Looks like she’s still loving her Alexander Wang peep-toe booties as well. It's sooo Madonna, circa 1980, only difference being Mads wasn’t 17 at the time. And then there’s that makeup . . . What do you think? Do you rate Miley’s racy look?

Global Watch: Alexander Wang to Launch Essentials Line

Alexander Wang unveiled his resort 2011 collection (with Aussie Julia Nobis) earlier this week and used the occasion to reveal his plans to expand the Alexander Wang brand. The designer spoke about launching a new collection of essentials, explaining, "After last season we started looking at our carry-over business, what our customers come back for again and again. There's also this perception that we're very young. Going to trunk shows, women always say, 'Oh my gosh, I love your brand.' This is our way of being more democratic." The initial line will include three pairs of trousers, two jackets and a flat-front shirt. It will be quite different to the T line, as Wang hinted at more of a focus of tailoring. "I don't want to say [the new line] is based on tailoring or business attire, but they're two different focuses." Wang has also announced he'll be opening his first stand-alone store in New York "sometime this year." Someone say, bring it?

I couldn't help but feel chuffed when I saw these latest images from Alexander Wang's resort '11 look book. Yes, the clothes are lust-worthy, but what's really impressive is Wang's choice of models. Aussie newbie and RAFW favourite Julia Nobis was chosen as one of a handful of models to feature in the look book, following in the footsteps of Abbey Lee Kershaw who also featured in Wang's resort '10 look book. Julia's international career is on fire at the moment and can only get bigger and better thanks to her Top 10 newcomer rating on models.com, and string of catwalk shows behind her.

Julia also features in the latest issue of RUSSH magazine for a second time (her first shoot appeared in January '10) in a hauntingly beautiful spread shot by photographer Derek Henderson. Hard to believe it was just two years ago that Julia was discovered in her school uniform at a Sydney bus stop!
