As the temperature outside continues to drop, the first batch of Autumn/Winter 2012 ad campaigns offer a cosy style respite via darker ware and fresh takes on cold-weather layering. Built around the offerings from the latest A/W international shows, Louis Vuitton picks up right where it left off channelling old-school glamour with a little help from one grandiose steam engine train; while Versace exudes its signature brand of sexiness in a much sultrier set of gothic-inspired snaps. Marc Jacobs teamed up with photographer Juergen Teller once again, DSquared2 went back to school with a very Grease meets James Dean approach, Givenchy nabbed British model Stella Tennant as its campaign star, and Burberry enlisted Mario Testino to shoot its classic trench coat silhouettes amidst a foggy evening at Greenwich's Royal Naval College. All this, plus more A/W '12 treats from Armani and Bally, after the jump.

For Paul & Joe's A/W 2012 collection, Sophie Albou showed a luxe menswear-inspired line filled with louche trousers, baggy overcoats, pajama suiting, and plenty of feminine touches to temper the mood. Wearability was key; cropped bomber coats were paired with skinny pants, oversized leopard-print trousers were styled with slouchy sweaters and printed sheath dresses were tempered with long and lean tailored blazers. Meanwhile, a line-up of luxurious fur coats, sheer lace tops, and velvet separates added an opulent touch to every look. Basically, we'd like to get our hands on every piece. More details from the collection below.

- Colours: Red, brown, green, black, grey, blue.
- Key Piece: We loved the baggy printed trousers and printed sequin tops.
- Accessories: Leather and metallic belts, oversized clutches, printed pumps, point-toe boots, cuff bracelets.

Gwyneth Paltrow took the Eurostar to Paris this morning, and it didn't take her long to dress for a bash hosted by Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton. On her way inside the event, Gwyneth stopped to chat with Louise Roe. The ladies reminisced about Gwyneth at the Oscars and discussed memorable Vuitton bags from the past and Gwyneth's somewhat masculine style. Gwyneth spoke about her all-black look today, commenting, "I'm quite straight up and down. I'm not voluptuous. Unfortunately, I don't look like Sofia Vergara. So I make the most of what I've got."
Elie Saab showed a wide range of daywear and a beautiful bevy of red-carpet gowns for Fall 2012. With models clad in long hair and blunt bangs, the show kicked off with a multitude of ladylike skirt suits, loose-cut trousers, and fur coats. Casual dresses followed suit, highlighting a range of form-fitting colorblocked sheath dresses to diaphanous sheer printed renditions. However, it was the eveningwear portion of the collection that really caught our attention. Saab showed his expertise in details with a gorgeous array of sequined and metallic gowns. There were also a few sheer gowns showcasing a delicate cobweb lace detail. Which Hollywood leading lady can you picture wearing one of these amazing gowns? More details from Elie Saab's A/W 2012 collection below.
- Trends: Peplum, skirt suiting, sheer and laser-cut details.
- Colours: Black, tan, green, gold, silver, grey, beige.
- Key Piece: We loved the emerald and gold sequined gowns.
- Accessories: Point-toe cut-out shoes, skinny belts, leather and jewelled clutches.

Stars gathered at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris for the launch of the Louis Vuitton — Marc Jacobs: The Exhibition today. The event, which showcases Marc's 15 years as the designer behind the luxury label, opens to the public on Friday. The special preview brought out Sarah Jessica Parker and Dianna Agron, who also attended the Louis Vuitton runway show earlier today. Gwyneth Paltrow, in a tuxedo by the brand, chatted with Louise Roe about her menswear-inspired look on her way inside after travelling from London for the fete. Kristen Stewart rocked an animal-print dress and brought boyfriend Robert Pattinson along for the occasion. Rob and Kristen arrived separately, but over the weekend they shared a romantic meal in the City of Light. Also on hand to celebrate were models Karlie Kloss and Natalia Vodianova, Karl Lagerfeld and Harvey Weinstein.
What a party! Forget the front row for a second, it's all about the post-runway party for spotting the best celebrity style on the ground at Paris Fashion Week. An incredibly well-dressed crowd gathered to fête Marc Jacobs, who, riding on the back of his dramatic A/W '12 collection preview, was the guest of honour at the Louis Vuitton — Marc Jacobs: The Exhibition opening soirée in Paris. Gwyneth Paltrow, Kristen Stewart (who is becoming quite the fashion darling) and Sarah Jessica Parker were on hand, as were a slew of the fashion industry's big-hitters. Step inside to see all the party pics!
Kristen Stewart got sexy in a short leopard print dress in Paris today. She stepped out for the Louis Vuitton exhibit at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs, which showcases Marc Jacobs' 15 years of work at the fashion house. Kristen stopped by the designer's showroom on Monday after also popping up at Balenciaga's show last week. She wasn't the only famous face to show their support for Marc ahead of the exhibit's public opening on Friday, since Robert Pattinson and Gwyneth Paltrow also came out for the event. Gwyneth arrived in France from London this morning, when she was spotted hopping on the Eurostar.
