Milla Jovovich always looks like she's had a lot of fun putting her outfit together, and because of that, I'm a huge fan of her style. Amongst all the serious gowns and dramatic trains, it's so refreshing to see someone with innate style work an individual look. She chose a patchwork style mini dress, black opaques and piled on necklaces for the 18th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Party. I'm sure this isn't a look for everyone but I kinda dig it. The auburn actress gave a beautiful speech about her A Single Man costar as he was up for his Best Actor Oscar. The speech nearly had him (and us) in tears, but the stunning star kept her cool and looking radiant with hair swept to-one-side and wearing a watermelon gloss. You can always count on Heidi Klum to show a bit of leg in a bedazzled red carpet look! She chose to bypass the official ceremony this year and instead, opted to catch all the glamour at the 18th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Party. She looks gorgeous and her body is beyond incredible after having four kids, but I would have preferred some larger jewel detailing rather than the beauty-pageant style diamantes on the neckline. Still, she looks like a major hottie. Thoughts?

Look who we have here! Victoria Beckham made a subtle appearance at the 18th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Party in one of her own designs. This dress wouldn't have been quite right for the official red carpet — as beautiful as it is it's not really an Oscars gown, but it's perfect for this Oscars-but-not-the-Oscars part-ay, know what I mean? The shape is perfect for her, the asymmetrical neckline gives just enough bulk, and the banded waist elongates her legs. I love the washed-out print, too, it's detailed without being too fussy. Nobody works a black-tie event quite like Victoria. What do you think?

There was a lack of primary colours on the red carpet this year, with blush tones and neutrals leading the charge. There were still a few celebs who embraced colour, but a more subdued variety of brights including lavender, cherry red, magenta and lilac. Have your pick at who worked their bright gown best. Surprisingly this fail-safe colour was few and far between on the red carpet this year. The stars that did choose black opted for more embellished and detailed styles rather than the simple block colour. What a pleasant surprise! Who do you think wore the best black frock this year?
