Asos has come out with its Fall collection, and it's brimming with cool weather possibilities. The look book, styled by the magnificent Michele Rafferty, includes items from Asos's namesake line in addition to brands it carries, such as Surface to Air, New Zealand's Stolen Girlfriends Club and Australia's very own Shakuhachi! The selection of washed leather jackets, wool capes, and suede booties is enough to make any girl swoon. Additionally, we heart the random pops of girlie femme tutus and velour gowns. Sit tight, all products arrive online in September. Click on for more Asos greatness!
If you needed convincing to warm up to Fall's camel trend, here's more proof that it's the new black. Practical chic and spot-on classic — Raquel Zimmermann glows in the designer's latest campaign. It's monochromatic fashion realism — a glimpse of the impeccably dressed about town, minus the bells and whistles. This is all about the gorgeous girl and the luxurious colour palette.
Now that you've familiarised yourself with J. Crew thanks to Net-a-Porter, let's continue the journey with looks from its pricier, limited-edition J.Crew Collection. In anticipation of the upcoming season, creative director Jenna Lyons dreamt up a line filled with plush and polished pieces. Just how plush? Think Mongolian lamb vests, feather jackets, and tweed blazers. And if that wasn't enough to gush over, Jenna added even more decadence via sequin bloomers, delicate Chantilly lace dresses, and hammered silk skirts. We're swooning, are you?
After swirling rumours, it has been confirmed that Erin Wasson will no longer be designing for RVCA. Wipe that tear off your face because she still has her other line, Low Luv. For Fall '10, her final design collaboration, you'll find more signature grungy cool pieces, including a white long-sleeve maxidress, skinny jeans, loose-fitting sweaters, and off-shoulder tees. Proceed to check out a few items from Erin Wasson's final collection for RVCA.
Another season, another exciting Kate Moss For Longchamp campaign. While the Spring ads had the Super posing in a romantic, antique house, Fall's setting is adversely modern. Here is a recurring theme in Kate's Longchamp ads, a car shot — an old-fashioned car with a cool woman at the wheel. Notice how this time around, Kate kept herself in the background by donning dark colours and allowing the bright bags to take centre stage? They are, after all, the main models here.
What do you think of Kate's latest ads for her Longchamp bags?
While the Spring '10 Balenciaga ads were trippy, Fall's latest offering are super intense. They all feature the same format — single shot on the right, group shot to the left — but each has its own appeal. I'm most excited to see '90s Brit model Stella Tennant (far right), who joins the gang, including Freja Beha Erichsen, Karen Elson, Caroline Brasch-Nielsen, Stella Meghan Collison, Mirte Maas, Valerija Kelava, and Kirsi Pyrhonen. The dusk-like background and the models' solemn expressions make for one seriously stoic ad campaign. Do you geddit?
Getting action on a car has never looked as desirable as it does for Gucci's pre-Fall ads. Brazilian hottie Raquel Zimmermann and Puerto Rican Joan Smalls put on their sexy masks and rev up our engines with their sultry poses. Their neutral-coloured ensembles blend in yet pop at the same time, and that old-fashioned sports car looks mighty fine in contrast to the hot desert sand. It's nothing but pure beauty all around. Side note: doesn't Raquel resemble Kate Moss in these Just Cavalli ads?
For Fall, the unstoppable Rebecca Minkoff created a rockin' video to show off her growing collection of handbags, clothing, and accessories. It all starts with a sexy cool soundtrack, while gorge models show off Rebecca's Parisian-inspired dresses, tees, and separates. Meanwhile, chain embellished handbags, metallic finishes, and hardcore jewels inject Minkoff's signature cool girl style. We think it's très chic. Take a step into her beautiful boudoir and tell us what you think!
Amber Valletta has clearly not lost her Supermodel touch. Her latest gig is playing a sexy blonde bombshell for Jimmy Choo's Fall ad campaign. And what a bombshell she is! Those platinum curls, the sexy Dolce & Gabbana pencil skirts and lace tanks, and of course, those glam Choo accessories are the recipe for success. Much like the Spring '09 ads with Angela Lindvall. Agreed?
Leave it to J.Crew to magically seam the gap between wedding attire and fashion. Really, we didn't think it was possible to one-up yourself until now. Its latest Fall '10 wedding collection is the ultimate destination for everyone in the party. Brides will undoubtedly fall head over heels in love with the brand's top-notch fabrics — which hail from Europe's most famous mills — and spectacular hand-made embroidery. Do intricate lace, copious tulle, or silk taffeta tickle your fancy? Furthermore, the rest of the wedding entourage will be giddy with relief when you present them with J.Crew's modern selection of bridesmaid dresses. Believe us, they can wear these timeless cuties over and over again . . .
