Oh, Miu Miu, how I heart you! I totally get why all the hot young things are knocking on your door. This Winter collection from Miuccia Prada gave a little fun to what was a very serious, minimal season. Oversized pockets, unexpected collars and sweet-but-sexy panel details added a playful touch to '60s silhouettes and structured tailoring. A palette of black, cream, purple and yellow was detailed with incredible floral appliqués, lace trims and metallic embellishments, while cartoonish shapes including bubble hems and boxy shift dresses managed to hit a sexy note while maintaining their signature girly twist. Let me start by saying woah! I adore this pinkish-reddish dress Kristen Stewart is sporting for the LA premiere of her new movie The Runaways. How incredibly romantic - and sexy - is the tulle panel detailing? Add in the soft pleating, frayed edges and slimline halter shape and you've got yourself one standout red carpet outfit. Love the piled on rings and black peep-toe heels, too. Top points from me! How about you?

Balenciaga, Missoni, Chloé and Givenchy - it's all happening at a chain store near you. Usually, I really appreciate a designer knock-off. Who wouldn't love a Balmain-esque jacket for about a zillionth of the original price? But lately, the whole idea has made me feel a bit...wrong. I can't say my wardrobe is overflowing with designer pieces, far from it in fact, but on the odd occasion I do splurge on a great handbag, statement heels or classic dress, I like to know that I've invested in an original piece. There's nothing worse than walking into your local chain store and seeing a similar style staring at you from the shelves. Heart wrenching, in fact.

Trend Talk: Amy Winehouse Turns Designer

Now this is one celebrity-turned-designer I didn't see coming! Amy Winehouse loves Fred Perry polo shirts. She is regularly spotted out and about in the sporty style so naturally, the brand wants to cash in on her influence. The singer has created a 17 piece collection for Fred Perry that is due in stores in September and mainly features a colour palette of black and pink. It includes classic Amy separates such as dresses, pencil skirts and capri pants. Richard Martin, Fred Perry’s marketing director explained, "Amy has a unique sense of style that reflects the brand’s own historical reference points. She is a loyal fan of classic Fred Perry product, so that is what the designs were focused on developing." I can't say it's my cup of tea, but would you wear Amy Winehouse inspired clothes?

I'm really hoping she makes her way to Sydney so I can stalk, oops I mean, get a glimpse of her. In the meantime, she's been livin' it up in Miami presenting her Whitney Eve Fall collection, as well as grabbing a quick frozen treat with friend Roxy Olin. She's rocking two different looks for each occasion; casual leggings, striped tee and denim jacket for day, and a more tailored blazer, jewelled necklace and sequin heels for night. Both are pure Whit style, but which do you prefer?
