Bianca Spender thinks about things. Her collections are guaranteed have a considered point of view, and her source of inspiration often comes from a cerebral place. For Spring/Summer '13 Bianca explained to us that she found magic in the mathematical ratio of beauty (often referred to as the Golden Ratio), as found in nature — specifically that of sea shells. The 'Fibonacci Sequence' collection subsequently has an organic elegance to it, with clear attention paid to the play of proportion, silhouette and shape. This translates into a range of trumpet-hem skirts and dresses, classically cut tailoring and artfully ruched cocktail dresses that curl around the body with considerable finesse.
In the flesh the line-up is stunning, but the lookbook, as photographed by Kasia Werstak and styled by Tulia Wilson, is just as breathtaking.
