Inside Her Wardrobe: POPSUGAR Health & Beauty Editor Alison Larsen

One day a few years ago, I was looking inside my wardrobe and hated everything I saw.

One day a few years ago, I was looking inside my wardrobe and hated everything I saw. Nothing matched and I wasn't proud of my clothes. I used to live alone and got into the habit of buying cheap for a quick fix, and all of a sudden, it was starting to show. In one afternoon, I cleared out 80 percent of my clothes and shoes. I created a mood board and decided on my dream style. Fast-forward a few years and I like to think I'm nailing it in the less-is-more department, and that goes for the layout of my wardrobe as well. I edit it with military precision, and I'm ruthless. My accessories are the easy part, thanks to my beloved stacked engagement rings and some simple PANDORA bracelets. If you like over-the-knee boots and crazy fun amounts of makeup, you'll want to get in here.

Working in the fashion industry, first as a magazine stylist and now as the editor of POPSUGAR Fashion, I've picked up a few tricks along the way for storing, displaying and organising the content of my (somewhat overstuffed) closet. From the colour coordinating trick I pull on my hanging space, to my vast collection of boxes (thank you IKEA), to the use of table ware to display my dainty PANDORA jewellery collection — there's plenty of pro tips to take from going inside my wardrobe. Then, there's the small matter of my shoe addiction. . . Ahem. Feel like getting your snoop on? Then let me give you the grand tour . . .

Inside her Wardrobe

Inside Her Wardrobe: Lill Jenner from Anna & Boy

Some of our favourite Inside Her Wardrobe snoops feature the treasure troves of fashion designers.

Some of our favourite Inside Her Wardrobe snoops feature the treasure troves of fashion designers. Why? We're not quite sure. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that they're constantly sourcing inspiration from unlikely places. Perhaps because they've got a keen eye for editing out the clutter. Or perhaps it's their dedication to turning entire rooms into a walk-in-robe. Whatever the reason, Lill Jenner is up there with the best of them. Lill is one half of the Anna & Boy design team, and her predilection for cheery colours and punchy prints are as evident in her own wardrobe as they are in her killer cossie designs. We went inside  wanna come?

Inside Her Wardrobe: Gail Elliott

Yesterday Gail Elliott gave us her expert tips for buying, styling and caring for leather, and today we're tapping the Little Joe Woman designer for our Inside Her Wardrobe feature.

Yesterday Gail Elliott gave us her expert tips for buying, styling and caring for leather, and today we're tapping the Little Joe Woman designer for our Inside Her Wardrobe feature. Why? Well, the woman was a card carrying member of the original '90s supermodel crew for one thing, and still owns some of the Chanel runway goodies (gifted from king Karl himself) for another. Curious to see the inside of a supermodel-slash-designer's closet? Come inside!

Inside Her Wardrobe: Vogue Style Editor Rebecca Caratti

Today we're going inside the wardrobe of Vogue's style editor, Rebecca Caratti.

Today we're going inside the wardrobe of Vogue's style editor, Rebecca Caratti. Having sharpened her stylist teeth at Shop 'Til You Drop, Madison and Harper's Bazaar before taking up gig at Vogue, Rebecca's personal style epitomises that of the classic fashion insider  on-trend without ever falling into 'trendy' territory thanks to a killer lineup of understated designer labels. Her luxe arsenal of shoes and bags are just the lust-inducing chaser, and we have to admit our hearts skipped a collective beat when we saw her little family of Birkins. She says of her heirloom-filled wardrobe, "My most treasured possessions are the classics that were passed down to me by my mother. She had impeccable taste." Indeed she did. If you're OK to be hit with an acute case of cupboard-envy, step inside. . .
