Highlights From the 2013 SAG Awards
The 2013 SAG Awards took place at the Shrine Auditorium in LA yesterday, the latest glamorous outing for awards season favourites. Anne Hathaway added another award to her collection when she scooped up the honour for outstanding performance by a female actor in a supporting role. During her speech, Anne started to tear up as she thanked her mother, who is also an actress, for inspiring her and hopefully giving Anne some support on the award ballot. She said, "Thanks mum for voting me, or at least she better have!" Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey both won awards for their final seasons of 30 Rock, with the latter thanking her friend and Golden Globes co-host, Amy Poehler, for giving birth to Lena Dunham. Ben Affleck took home another big win when he and the cast of Argo won outstanding performance from an ensemble in a motion picture.
Other highlights included Jennifer Lawrence winning outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role for Silver Linings Playbook, marking her first SAG Award win. Dick Van Dyke graciously accepted his lifetime achievement award while thanking all of the actors in the room for taking acting to another level. Claire Danes celebrated her new mum status when she accepted the award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a drama series, telling the audience that it not only takes a village to raise a child but also to put together a TV show. The cast of Downton Abbey took home one of the biggest surprises of the night when they won outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series, beating out Homeland and Mad Men for the win. Obviously, we had to see this buried treasure. Check out a young Lawrence in the outrageous promos!

Celebs Were All About the Hot-Off-the-Runway Gowns at the SAG Awards
The award season is a time when the celebrities pull out all of the fashion stops. We're talking about decadent jewels, perfect hair, standout footwear, and, of course, gorgeous gowns. Yesterday's SAG Awards didn't disappoint in any of the above categories, as we witnessed a bevy of A-list actresses dressed to the nines. With that said, there were a select few that got to wear extra-special dresses — the kind straight off the runway. With only weeks since the Pre-Fall '13 lineups debuted, and literally just days since the Spring '13 Couture shows, designers were more than eager to offer up their beautiful gowns for celebrities to wear on the red carpet last evening. We're talking about Jennifer Lawrence's stunning navy Christian Dior Haute Couture gown, Anne Hathaway's sheer Giambattista Valli — both gowns made their debut on the runway less than a week ago — and Amanda Seyfried's Pre-Fall Zac Posen mermaid confection. SAG Awards Hair Trend Alert: Sweeping Side Parts
This award season, one trend seems to be reigning supreme: the side part. The style can be worn in a variety of ways, from pulled up in a ponytail (like Kerry Washington) to down with waves (like Jessica Chastain and Amanda Seyfried). Celebrities are all huge fans of this look, and for good reason. Deep side parts are universally flattering because they can be adjusted based on each individual's face shape. It looks like this trend isn't going anywhere, so what do you think?
The Best Bags, Baubles, and Heels to Walk the SAG Awards Red Carpet
The glamour of any award show isn't complete without the glitziest of add-ons. Cue yesterday's SAG Award arrivals, where a heavy dose of diamonds, jewels, and high-wattage footwear made their appearance on the ensembles of our favourite stars. Maybe you were so distracted by Jessica Chastain's fiery red McQueen gown that you missed the million-dollar Harry Winston diamonds glittering at her neck, or perhaps you were so caught up with Anne Hathaway's frothy Giambattista Valli Couture that you failed to notice her sky-high Jimmy Choos. Not that we blame you — it's easy to get swept up in the gorgeous display of gowns, but we'd be remiss if we didn't take a minute to give our leading ladies' accessories a closer look. Inside, we've culled a detailed report of the night's best supporting accoutrements — the clutches, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and heels without which no gown would be complete. Click on for a glimpse of all the glamorous details.
Jennifer Lawrence Makes the Rounds at the Weinstein Co. SAGs Bash
Jennifer Lawrence was the woman of the hour at The Weinstein Company's post-SAG Awards party at Sunset Tower in LA last night. She picked up the award for best actress for her role in Silver Linings Playbook and celebrated with co-stars Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro at the bash. Jennifer also posed alongside fellow nominee Naomi Watts, who presented at the show with Liev Schreiber. Jennifer's big night wasn't dampened by her recent walking-pneumonia diagnosis, which she's battling with "a lot of medication," or by the fact that she almost ripped her dress while heading to the stage to accept her statue.
Plenty of other stars kicked back after the SAGs at another soiree held at the Chateau Marmont. Ben Affleck and his wife, Jennifer Garner, toasted his Argo win while the cast of Les Misérables met up with winner Anne Hathaway — be sure to check out the full list of SAG Award winners!
