We love Alexander Wang's Pre-Fall 2012 collection — what a surprise! Sarcasm aside, the latest offering from New York's reigning king of cool is keeping his lust-have status high, thanks to a clever androgynous but still sexy mix of tailoring, sheer inserts and sports-inspired detailing. Peek-a-boo print dresses get toughened up via windcheater cuffs, sexy minis skirts are made utilitarian with the addition of sleeveless puffa vests, and modish panelled suiting adds structure to track 'n' field inspired separates. And the accessories, you ask? Killer. Sheer, pointy toed pumps amp up the vamp factor, skinny harness belts reign in the down-town vibe and sleek, and moulded clutches finish the job. Oh, Mr Wang! You've done it again.
We've made our fashion resolutions for 2012. Have you? Bella is keeping up her end of the beauty bargain too, by sharing ways to get amazing tresses for the New Year. Picking the brains of some top hair stylists, Bella got a list of tips and tricks that will keep your tresses in stellar condition, all year through. Skip over and get schooled.
Ever since we drooled over saw Jessica Gomes' Isabel Marant wedge trainers in the flesh, we've had a wee obsession with the idea of a high-fashion high-top. Since then Miranda Kerr has been snapped in a pair, Beyoncé showed off her footwork in her "Love On Top" video clip, and Jamie Chung showed us her take on the trainer trend just last week. The low-profile 'Bobby' style has been overtaken in our lust-have stakes by the pumped-up 'Willow', but there are a slew of other designers jumping on the sneaker-freaker bandwagon if you want to broaden your label horizons. Luckily, we've done the footwork (ahem) for you, so you can shop our top ten designer trainer edit from the comfort of your desk. Super stylin'.

Today is quite the day for stylish celebrations! Not only are we celebrating news of Beyoncé giving birth to baby girl Blue Ivy Carter, but it's also Kate Middleton's 30th birthday. The Duchess of Cambridge has won the world over with her elegant sense of style, breathing fresh life into the British high street and high end designers along the way. Whether she's going glam for the red carpet in gowns by Alexander McQueen, Amanda Wakeley, Jenny Packham or (most recently) Alice Temperley, or donning chain store bargains from Topshop, Zara or Whistles, Kate maintains her understated and ladylike style signature. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that she'll go down in history at the decade's best-dressed bride. In honour of HRH's reliably chic, always elegant and perfectly put-together style CV, we've collated Kate's 30 best looks. Fashion royalty, indeed.
A BIG congrats goes out today to Beyoncé and husband Jay Z, who welcomed into the world a baby girl. Born on Saturday in NYC, they've named their first child Blue Ivy Carter. To celebrate the birth, we're throwing Ms B a celebratory maternity style stalk. Beyoncé proved throughout her pregnancy that a baby bump was no hindrance to her fabulous sense of style, on stage or off. When the singer unveiled her little belly at the MTV Video Music Awards back in August she picked the perfect gown to do so; a Grecian-inspired draped number from Lanvin. But not everything the mum-to-be has worn since has been so demure. There were sequinned mini dresses and statement-making blazers in her stellar maternity wardrobe too. Did someone say bump-a-licious?
Those runway trends we spotted way back in September may have inspired our Spring/Summer 2011-12 wardrobes, but the designer threads are starting to come into reality via lust-inducing ad campaigns in time for their (northern hemisphere) in-store drop dates. To refresh your memories, we've culled the top 10 trends as spotted on the Spring '12 runways of New York, Paris, Milan, and London. From the colours to invest in, to the key prints, to the embellishments to covet, we've got your fashionable backs. Whether you are busting to buy, or just want to know what's on the way, take a tour and get up to speed with the biggest trends that are heading our way.
It's officially awards season — the Palm Springs Film Festival kicked off over the weekend in the States, and Emily Blunt arrived in a pretty pink Marios Schwab dress. She edged up her ladylike frock with tough accessories, including a studded clutch and textured (Christian Louboutin) silver shoes, and finished off her red-carpet ensemble with delicate diamond stud earrings. Take a look at Emily's look up close in today's FabFlash.
As the 2012 awards season ramps up (yes, already!) with the Palm Springs Film Festival, Hollywood's A-team were testing their red carpet skills, and their neutral-toned gowns were nothing short of red carpet gorgeous. Michelle Williams opted for a gilded Prada look with a gold sequined and satin cap-sleeve cocktail dress, Angelina Jolie went for simply stunning in a floor length Elie Saab nude halter gown, and The Help's Jessica Chastain channeled a retro vibe in a dark green Prabal Gurung dress and black strappy heels. To top it off, Charlize Theron, Olivia Wilde, and Stacy Keibler all stunned in chic black creations.
