As we enter the last week of the international Spring/Summer fashion shows — Paris — we've already got a long list of trends we want to try at home. Orange lipstick is the thing to be sporting this Spring, along with wet hair that is less shiny but more helmet-like than past seasons, and white nails that'll give a little edge to any outfit. The POPSUGAR Australia editors' have big beauty plans, come see.
We've recently announced the finalists and winners across 29 categories in the POPSUGAR Australia Beauty Awards 2013. It's been an eye-opening experience for us — it's always interesting to find out what you're loving, trying and buying — but the judges' picks and tips have also blown us out of our beauty cabinets and into stores to try something new. We couldn't let this opportunity go by without collating all their favourite entries alongside some their expert advice, so please, enjoy.
As the ambassador for Japanese skincare brand SK-II, it's no wonder her skin is looking as flawless as ever. If you're new to the brand we recommend you try Facial Treatment Essence ($100). It contains more than 90 percent pitera, which is the ultimate moisture booster and tightens pores.
Kate also proved that false lashes aren't just for the stage. They're a great way to add volume and length. We love Manicare Glam Miranda Lashes ($8.39), which are 100 percent natural hair and will accentuate the eyes without being over-the-top. The key is putting a thin line of glue on the back of your hand and then gently pressing the lashes into the glue. But if it's the petal pink lip you're after, try Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte in Rose Culte ($55) to get her opaque, glossy look.

Beautiful hair, glowing skin, enviable makeup . . . there are very few reasons not to love everything about Blake Lively's look. Yet the actress, who is married to Ryan Reynolds, is happiest at home. "I love cooking!" Blake told Marie Claire. "But I never follow recipes."
It's with this eclectic palette that the actress has pieced together her beauty regimen. The list includes a shampoo from Kérastase ("Divine," Blake gushes) and a sumptuous candle from Le Labo ("They make good gifts"). Peruse — and shop — Blake's beauty list inside!
- Hermes Jour d’Hermés
- Jo Malone London Earl Grey & Cucumber Cologne
- Marc Jacobs Dot EDP
- Sportsgirl Make Scents Over the Rainbow
- Yves Saint Laurent Manifesto EDP
Editor's Pick: Jo Malone London Earl Grey & Cucumber Cologne. "As mentioned above, I've been really into layering fragrance. It's so special to wear a more traditionally 'day' scent to work, and then go over with something deeper in the evening for a unique, smell-like-no-one-else moment. Jo Malone London is the perfect place to start, and this high tea-inspired scent is a firm favourite of mine." — Alison Larsen, POPSUGAR Australia health and beauty editor

- Clarins Skin Illusion Loose Powder Foundation
- Jane Iredale Glow Time Full Coverage Mineral BB Cream
- Laura Mercier Oil Free Supreme Foundation
- Skin Physics Instant Age Reset BB Plus SPF 15
- Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Éclat
Judge's Pick: Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Éclat. "This was an easy, hands-down choice. There is nothing not to like about this foundation. Super lightweight coverage allowing skin texture to shine through, effortless to blend and leaves skin radiant. [I also loved Clarins Skin Illusion Loose Powder Foundation]. This product came as a huge surprise for me. I really like how light and silky the finish is. I would highly recommend this as a mineral powder in the future. I usually find mineral very cakey and ashy on the skin." — Max May

You can go one of two ways on your wedding day when it comes to skin: sheer and dewy or contoured with full coverage. It really depends on the condition of your skin and how you'd like to look in photos, but for all those brides who want to look flawless, this one's for you. While you might have an old favourite you'll be asking your makeup artist to use, we'd like to showcase a few newbie liquids we've fallen hard for.
Myer's Spring Summer 2014 Collection Launch beauty look took its cues from Mother Nature. Kevin Murphy led the hair look with a cool combination of two runway favourites — beach waves and the wet-look. "They showed me photos of birds, glitter and scuba," Kevin says of his original mood board for the show. "They wanted to use the colour of the birds, but I suggested we make the hair look like feathers."
The makeup direction was led by Natasha Severino for Yves Saint Laurent, with a colour palette to rival the red centre. "If you look at where the [Myer Spring Summer 2014] campaign was shot, it was outback Australia," says Natasha. "We wanted to bring in the colours and the dustiness. It's a very powdery look."
