We Talk to Ladakh's New Head Designer Marnie Skillings

When we discovered (via some Tumblr super-sleuthing!) that Marnie Skillings had been appointed the new head designer for local label Ladakh, we had to find out more. Marnie rose to fame in the industry thanks to her eponymous fashion label and feminine and beautifully off-beat aesthetic. Late last year she closed her Glenmore Road boutique and her business — so we're mighty excited to see that she's still designing, and even more excited by the prospect of nabbing a piece of Ms Skilling's style for a fraction of the price. Ladakh has always managed to walk the line between producing bang-on-trend threads and keeping price points out of the kidney-selling stratosphere. We wanted to know know from Marnie what it was like to go in-house for a fast fashion brand, and what we can expect to see from the label now that she's steering the ship.
