The new season of Vampire Diaries is about to premiere in the US, and we can't help but be excited to see Nina Dobrev back on the small screen. Whether she's striking Dancer Pose or snacking on a green juice, Nina keeps it healthy. We talked to her trainer Steve Moyer of The Moyer Method to find out what Nina's favourite moves are, the workout she can't live without, and how basketball plays a key role in her fitness routine.
The Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley has reportedly moved on from his July split from Torrey DeVitto with another brunette beauty: Australian actress Phoebe Tonkin. According to Us Weekly, Paul and Phoebe got very close at a dinner outing over the weekend, where they were on a double date with Ben McKenzie and Shelley Hennig; according to a source, Paul and Phoebe were “100 percent romantic.”
It seems that The Vampire Diaries is a show that breeds love among Young Hollywood stars. Phoebe had a stint on The Vampire Diaries as Hayley before taking the same role to the show’s spin-off, The Originals. Paul’s ex-wife Torrey also had a recurring role. And lead stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev were involved in a long-term real-life romance until they split earlier this year; earlier this week it was reported that Nina is now dating dancer and choreographer Derek Hough.
This morning, we were all crying into our coffees over last night's TV death of Patrick from Offspring — how could you not feel the pain of his leading lady Nina (played by Asher Keddie)? We've loved Nina from day one of the Aussie drama, for her neuroses, down-to-earth attitude and, not least of all, her casual approach to beauty. A slick of gloss, some mascara and a ponytail? That's our girl, and we wouldn't have her any other way! Click through to see some of our favourite female characters of all time, and the hair and makeup looks that made them instantly recognisable.

For the past few years, she's been slogging away both here and over in Hollywood, to the point where she's built up a serious international following — and not just for her acting. There's much to learn about this bright and beautiful woman, so click through and get to know her now!
While it's admittedly hard to focus on anything but her handsome co-stars on The Vampire Diaries, Nina Dobrev has grabbed our undivided attention (and kept it) with her youthful-turned-ultra-chic off-screen style. The brunette beauty has effortlessly nailed a personal style that expresses both her affinity for seriously glamorous red-carpet gowns and her penchant for more low-key and supergirlie numbers. In just the last year alone, we've gotten an extrastylish dose of Nina, courtesy of the Met Gala, The CW's upfronts, the amfAR gala in Cannes, her debut as a Got Milk? campaign face, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower promo tour. She's got a sweet spot for designer Donna Karan, and the feeling's mutual — as proven by her stunning turn in a liquid black-and-gold Atelier creation and that jaw-dropping siren-red gown at the 2011 Emmys. Throw in the likes of Dolce & Gabbana, Elie Saab, J.Mendel, and Monique Lhuillier, and you've got the makings of a totally enviable style-setter. In honour of Nina's 24th birthday yesterday, we're taking a look at how the actress's panache has evolved from her days on Canada's Degrassi to her current status as a style star. Just keep clicking.
The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder turned 34 yesterday, and we're celebrating the milestone with a look back at some of his sexiest photos. Nina Dobrev broke from the Atlanta set of The Vampire Diaries Saturday to do press not too far away. She first met with fans at a Barnes and Noble to sign autographs and promote her October cover of Seventeen magazine. Nina, still decked out in her floral Reformation jumpsuit, was then off to a local movie cinema to say a few words before a special screening of her new movie, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which opens in the US on Sept. 21 but still doesn't have an Australian release date. Nina has been all over lately to do press for the picture, including travels to LA and her native Toronto for premieres with co-stars Ezra Miller and Emma Watson.
