SJP and Blake Lively Look Spring Fresh at Target's Toronto Opening

Sarah Jessica Parker and Blake Lively's ensembles at last night's Target Toronto opening were a clear sign that the weather is heating up in the US.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Blake Lively's ensembles at last night's Target Toronto opening were a clear sign that the weather is heating up in the US. With floral embellishments a-plenty, the two showed off their respective takes on the new season with a light colour palette and whimsical accessories. Sarah Jessica Parker looked casual-chic in a pair of cropped white jeans, sheer pin-dot blouse, and black blazer. For added oomph, the style icon channelled her inner Carrie Bradshaw by accessorising her outfit with a colourful oversize floral corsage and sharp pointed-toe pumps. Meanwhile, Blake Lively opted for a more ethereal look in a soft watercolour-print Roland Mouret dress and whimsical Christian Louboutin pumps. Both ladies look gorgeous, but which floral-embellished outfit do you prefer?

SJP and Blake Lively Team Up to Launch Target In Canada

Sarah Jessica Parker and Blake Lively helped launch Canada's first Target store in Toronto yesterday.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Blake Lively helped launch Canada's first Target store in Toronto yesterday. Blake wore a Roland Mouret dress and Christian Louboutin shoes while SJP kept things a bit more casual in white jeans. The pair were joined by Canadian actress and Happy Endings star Elisha Cuthbert, who shopped around the store and later gushed about meeting Sarah Jessica. She tweeted, "What a dream, chatting and hanging out with the one and only Sarah Jessica Parker."

Blake is no stranger to the country, as she is married to Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds, and the two hung out there in February while Ryan filmed Queen of the Night. Blake has been taking some time off from work after she wrapped Gossip Girl last year. Meanwhile, her Target shopping buddy SJP is reportedly working on two films and recently checked out the Tilda Swinton sleeping in a box exhibit at New York's Museum of Modern Art.

Target in the US has tapped celebrity stylist Kate Young for its latest collaboration, and come April 14, the partnership will yield a fun, playful limited-edition line-up of semi-formal and special-occasion dresses. Before the official launch, though, we're getting our first look at the (appropos) Kate Young-styled lookbook. This is a bit of a changeup where designer collaborations are concerned, seeing as this doesn't exactly fall under the designer category, but the mass retailer is all about reinventing the wheel. And you can see some of this "reinvention" already happening in the way each party-perfect look is styled.

The Kate Young For Target Collection will range from US$30 to $90 for apparel, and US$15 to $50 for jewellery, handbags, and shoes. Those prices are worth a trip to the US, don't you think? At the very least, you could get a friend over there to hook you up with these cool duds that's what friends are for, right? For now, click on for the complete lookbook, along with the so-cool Terry Richardson-shot ad campaign, a few of Young's sneak-peek sketches, and some of the stylish stars who come to her for styling expertise.

Carey Mulligan and Elizabeth Olsen Celebrate Prabal For Target

Elizabeth Olsen, Rashida Jones and Carey Mulligan treated themselves to a night out in NYC yesterday to celebrate the new Prabal Gurung collection for Target.

Elizabeth Olsen, Rashida Jones and Carey Mulligan treated themselves to a night out in NYC yesterday to celebrate the new Prabal Gurung collection for Target. Decked out in items from Prabal's line, they mingled with a crowd that included Analeigh Tipton, Olivia Thirlby, and the night's entertainment, Ne-Yo. They convened at Manhattan's Pier 57 for a carnival-themed evening full of carousel rides, a Tilt-A-Whirl, and various games and food trucks. The girls had a chance to shop the collection before it arrives in US stores on Feb. 10.

We were on the red carpet at the bash, and had a chance to catch up with Rashida, Elizabeth and Prabal himself. Elizabeth was excited about Prabal's designs, but not about the rides — carnival rides apparently give her anxiety! Rashida, meanwhile, gushed about her friend Prabal.

On the heels of the Prabal Gurung for Target look book release (and soon-to-be debut), the US arm of Target has announced its latest partnership with celebrity stylist Kate Young on a line of semi-formal and special-occasion dresses. This is a bit of a change-up where designer collaborations are concerned, seeing as this doesn't exactly fall under the designer category, but the mass retailer is all about reinventing the wheel. Young is a seasoned pro with an insanely impressive lineup of A-list starlets to back up her styling cred. Among her clientele? Think Natalie Portman, Michelle Williams, Rooney Mara, and Rachel Weisz, to start. With that kind of portfolio — not to mention her background consulting for Jason Wu — we can see why Target wanted to explore new collaboration territory.

"Kate is a non-traditional partner for us," Trish Adams, senior vice president of apparel and accessories at Target, told WWD. "This is the first time we've worked with a stylist. It's interesting to work with someone that may not have formal training. [But] here's someone that creates jaw-dropping moments." The Kate Young For Target line launches online and in US stores on April 14, and will range from US $30 to $90 for apparel, and $15 to $50 for jewellery, handbags, and shoes. Until then, take a look at Kate Young's sneak-peek sketches, and meet the stylish stars who come to her for styling expertise.

It's Love at First Sight — Prabal Gurung For Target Look Book Is Here

Target cannot be stopped, and it seems, neither can Prabal Gurung.

Target cannot be stopped, and it seems, neither can Prabal Gurung. The US arm of the mass retailer announced its latest designer collaboration with Gurung back in October, and today, the gorgeously vibrant look book is here. Launching Feb. 10 in American Target stores, the limited-edition line will include women's ready-to-wear pieces (ranging from approx $20 to $200) and accessories (bags, shoes, and jewellery will go for approx $13 to $40). Prabal said of the collection, "This collection was inspired by love, and if Target's guests can feel even a little bit of the love that I felt while designing this collection, then I will consider it a job well done." And if that wasn't enough good vibes for you, here's what Gurung had to say about the inspiration behind the collection. "The collection is inspired by a girl's journey through the different stages of love and the clothes she wears during each milestone — from the first date to meeting the parents to the engagement." Inside, you'll find the designer's distinct aesthetic on blast. His penchant for impeccable tailoring, feminine silhouettes, and standout prints will take form in "refined dresses, mixed-media skirts, edgy blazers, and shoes."
