Spring 2011 New York Fashion Week: Rebecca Taylor
2011 Spring New York Fashion Week: Rebecca Taylor
Cue Donna Summer’s greatest hits — '70s glam was alive and well in Rebecca Taylor’s Spring collection. The designer sent everything from halter-top dresses and silk jumpsuits to pucker-detail rompers and denim bell-bottoms down the runway. But what really struck our fancy? The light and breezy mood attached to every piece, thanks to the positively peachy array of cream, beige, blush pink, eggplant, vanilla, grey, and melon hues paired together. The mantra for this Spring is "don’t take yourself too seriously" and while you’re at it, add a splash of polka dots, pink and blue cheetah print, oversize gold hoops, and bedazzled mirrored circles to the fashion mix. Um, I want everything.
