The best of the British fashion industry is being honoured at the British Fashion Awards in London today, and it’s gathered some of the UK’s most stylish stars. Kate Moss, whose Playboy magazine cover was just released, received a special recognition award from Marc Jacobs in honour of her 25-year career, and the designer described her as “the most uniquely imperfect perfect girl” as he presented to her. Sienna Miller showed off pink hair as she arrived on the arm of her beau Tom Sturridge, and Harry Styles continued his streak of representing One Direction at a fashion event — he also won the British Style Award! Other beauties who turned out for the British Fashion Awards include Alexa Chung, Clémence Poésy and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley — click through to see them all.
The weekend kicked off with the arrival of two cheeky, charming and handsome British Harrys — one was Prince Harry, who was in town for the International Fleet Review, and the other was Harry Styles, who landed with his One Direction bandmates for the Sydney leg of their Take Me Home tour. Prince Harry gave a royal touch to the official International Fleet Review program, which was celebrated with a brilliant fireworks display across Sydney Harbour on Saturday night, and at the same time Harry performed for more than 20,000 screaming fans at Olympic Park. The city couldn’t get enough of them over the weekend!
As for other things that took place in Sydney, Lara Bingle and Sam Worthington went public with their romance, first linking up to run errands and then hitting the beach for some serious PDA. Over in the US, Kristen Stewart landed at the airport with new markings on her arm — did she add to her growing tattoo collection, or did she just get bored and doodle? — and Miranda Kerr’s cheeky son Flynn gave the cameras a cute wave. Talk about a British invasion! Stellar red carpet regulars Kate Moss and Georgia May Jagger showed the rest of us how beauty is done right this week, but the UK pair's aesthetics couldn't have been more different. True to form, queen Kate went for a slightly messy rocker vibe — think smudged eyeliner, air-dried hair and cheekbones you could cut glass with. Other end of the spectrum: gorgeous Georgia, with her Old Hollywood curls and peach-pink pout. See why we had trouble picking a favourite? Not to be outdone, Sienna Miller, Jessica Alba and Laura Dundovic also made the cut in this week's Most Beautiful list — slide through to see them all!
One thing's for sure, Sienna Miller is always dressed for the occasion. On Tuesday night, she attended BFI’s Luminous Gala Dinner in London, and although she was joined by Homeland star Damian Lewis and his wife, Helen McCrory, Sienna's beautiful white dress stole the show. We've come to expect great things from Sienna; she always looks incredible while out on dates with fiancé Tom Sturridge, and when it came time to pull her weight at the Clinton Global Initiative and talk about her work with International Medical Corps, she was all business. Get a closer look at Sienna's gorgeous dress, as well as a shot of Damian and Helen, when you read on!
The forever stylish Brit It Girl is known for her glowing complexion and effortlessly styled beach waves, but it was all about the texture in her tousled up 'do. To try out her look at home start by spraying damp hair with Toni and Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray ($15.99), scrunching your hair as you blow dry. Once dry, section of your front fringe area and finger brush your hair into a ponytail securing with an elastic. Use bobby pins to loosely style your fringe strands and then twist your hair around the base of the ponytail into a loose bun and secure with pins. Set with a spritz of Morrocan Oil Glimmer Shine Spray ($34.50). To fnish of Sienna's look try adding well-lined lids with a flick of liquid eyeliner like Nars Eyeliner Stylo in Carpates ($44).
From sultry stares and Nordic qualities, to Old Hollywood glam and the type of bold look you can't take your eyes off, we were faced with beauty of all kinds this week. Miranda Kerr never lets us down with her looks, but this week she's trying something new that we're loving, while Eva Mendes has what might be the sexiest eyebrow we've ever seen. Gwyneth Paltrow brought her ice-blonde cool to the table, spiced up with a red lip, and Alexa Chung went for a girlier look than usual — to say we like it is an understatement. Thanks to fashion month (we're onto Milan Week, FYI!), we've been treated to some high fashion looks from the likes of Sienna Miller, Olivia Palermo and Alexa Chung — though, as always, Alexa found a way to incorporate chainstore chic into her look, too. Away from all things Fashion Week, Miranda Kerr once again made the street her catwalk when she stepped out wearing a beautiful seafoam dress by J. Mendel, Gwyneth Paltrow worked it in a crisp white dress (with pockets!) and Olivia pulled off some super-tight pink leathers. There's much more to see — click through to check out this week's Top 10!
If there’s one common theme in this week’s round-up of celebrity candids, it’s Harry Styles. OK, he’s not in that many photos, but the popular One Direction member popped up all over London Fashion Week and posed with lots of stylish show-goers, including Lara Bingle, who met up with him backstage. There were also a few weddings that took place — Nova FM’s Michael "Wippa" Wipfli tied the knot and had his breakfast co-host Ryan "Fitzy" Fitzgerald on hand for his final moments as an unmarried man, while Zoë Foster-Blake and Hamish Blake sported cute heart-shaped glasses for their friends’ nuptials. Baby bumps also featured prominently on social media — Jodi Anasta showed off hers while wearing a bikini, and Rachael Finch is almost ready to give birth!
In the midst of London Fashion Week on Monday night, stylish Brits gathered in London for an event that combined high fashion and an important cause. Hosted by the Earl and Countess of Mornington; US Vogue editor Anna Wintour; Colin Firth's wife, Livia Firth; and Net-a-Porter founder Natalie Massenet, the evening showcased "green" dresses designed by five of the UK's elite fashion names: Burberry, Victoria Beckham, Christopher Kane, Erdem and Roland Mouret. Following the social and environmental guidelines outlined by the Green Carpet Challenge, the designers created pieces that will be sold on Net-a-Porter with 20 percent of sales going toward The Global Fund that fights AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.
Right on the heels of Victoria's fun time at New York Fashion Week, she held hands with her husband, David Beckham, at the event before linking up with the fellow designers and Anna Wintour. Also on hand for the London night out were stylish stars like Sienna Miller, Stella McCartney and Poppy Delevingne, plus Benedict Cumberbatch and Colin Firth.
