The sisterly trio behind local label, Manning Cartell, have a knack for combining normally bi-polar themes in harmonious ways. We saw this dichotomy in their well-received S/S 2012-'13 collection via the fuzzy/cropped jumpers and demure yet sexy cut-out cocktail dresses. For Autumn/Winter the Manning sisters continue to push the envelope with a line-up that draws its inspiration from two vastly different eras; the gilded glamour of ancient Greek mythology and the fast-paced nature of the future. Brocade bumps up against bonded pointe, tapestry prints rub shoulders with lacquered fabrications. It's shouldn't work, but it somehow does. The Manning Cartell mixologists have served it up in spades this season. Take a sip?
