Inspired by the upcoming film Anna Karenina and its Leo Tolstoy novel predecessor, Banana Republic's Holiday 2012 collection, styled by the film's costume designer, Jacqueline Durran, is a modern-day interpretation of the tragic 19th-century Russian romance. The line highlighted the era's moody elegance and polished luxury.
