Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy team up in The Heat, which hits cinemas in July, as two very different female law-enforcement officers forced to work together. POPSUGAR US spoke to the co-stars at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, and while they might clash in the movie, their affection for each other off screen was obvious. Sandra described "fireworks" at their first meeting, and the pair shared plenty of one-liners as they chatted about what might be the first female buddy movie of its kind.
Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy teamed up to hype The Heat last night at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. The pair play law enforcement agents who don't exactly see eye to eye in the upcoming buddy comedy, which was directed by Bridesmaids' Paul Feig and hits Australian cinemas in July. POPSUGAR US spoke to Sandra, Melissa, and Paul about the broadening opportunities for female-driven comedies — which Paul has referred to as "bramances" — that he helped champion with Bridesmaids. Sandra also described her bond with Melissa as a true "love connection," and Paul said his stars instantly hit it off when they first got together to rehearse, chatting about their kids and becoming fast friends. Stay tuned to catch the full interviews with the trio!

We were treated to some different beauty looks from our favourite red carpet regulars this week, and we couldn't have loved it all more! Gorgeous Michelle Williams is growing out her pixie crop, but there's no awkward stage to be seen — she was still rocking a mid-length fringe and cool hair like it was nobody's business. Lara Bingle showed signs of a long and happy summer with her sunkissed cheeks and light blonde locks, while Solange Knowles was hands-down the biggest standout on the red carpet with her impossibly cool afro and a gorgeous red lip. On the red carpet? Jennifer Lawrence was subtly sexy, and Charlize Theron wowed the crowd (and became one of our all-time favourites) with her super-short do and flawless face. Awards season got off to a good start with the 2013 People's Choice Awards in LA yesterday. The show was full of big wins, plus plenty of laughs from host Kaley Cuoco and some of her celebrity pals.
