As if it wasn't cool enough that Keira Knightley recycled her wedding dress once, she took the prize for most laid-back bride ever by wearing her vintage Chanel design again. Opting to add sleeves this time (either with layering or expert tailoring) for the SeriousFun London Gala, the actress looked the picture of easy elegance in her embellished sleeves and pared-down styling. Tell us: would you follow in Keira's (ultra-chic) footsteps?
After a particularly chic pregnancy, Terry Biviano and Anthony Minichiello have announced they're the proud new parents of a baby girl. The Daily Telegraph reports that Terry gave birth to their 3.65kg daughter just after 9 p.m. at the Mater Hospital in Sydney’s north shore after going into labour on Monday night.
The new mum and Sydney-based shoe designer is known for bringing glamour to every event she attends; from walking the red carpet or supporting from the sidelines at Sydney Roosters game — and over the course of her pregnancy, nothing changed.
Pre-pregnancy Terry indulged a penchant for super sleek, form-fitting pieces and sky-high heels, and in previous months she's stayed true to her sophisticated sartorial ways, picking a fitted, white Steven Khalil gown for the Dally M Awards and an equally dramatic look for last night's Vogue event.
In honour of Terry's new-mum status, we've rounded up her most glamorous pregnancy looks. Take a peek.
Rashida went stark in Proenza Schouler's viscose black crepe dress, while Lupita was the most ladylike of the crew in head-to-toe Lanvin, namely the label's grosgrain bowed strapless white dress. Landing somewhere in the middle, Shailene mixed things up with a combination of the two in Calvin Klein Collection's textural halter dress. Which dress is your palette of choice?
It's no wonder Miley Cyrus has been named one of Barbara Walters's Most Fascinating People of 2013. From dramatic 'dos to jaw-dropping performances, Miley Cyrus's transition from sweet Disney darling to va-va-vixen has been a bit rocky — but we're not here to judge. Although the star has had her share of controversy, Cyrus has taken everything in stylish stride.
Flaunting her fit figure in an array of designer creations on the red carpet and on stage, this year was — according to Miley — the year of the crop top and, by consequence, the bare midriff. So it should come as no surprise that we've crowned Ms. Miley the crop top queen of 2013! Whether you love it or hate it, Miley's stand-out style always gets people talking — and any publicity is good publicity, right?
Join us as we take a look back at all of her ab-flashing moments, then get ready for even more Miley in 2014. We know she won't let us down.
Orlando Bloom and Benedict Cumberbatch: they brought the sexiness factor to the LA premiere of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug on Monday evening. Orlando, who took a break from his Broadway play, Romeo and Juliet, chatted with his co-star Evangeline Lilly on the red carpet. Unfortunately for Sherlock fans, Benedict did not pose with his co-star and Hobbit star Martin Freeman, who was busy on the red carpet with his partner, Amanda Abbington. However, fans will have more than their fair share of Benedict-Martin time as Sherlock season three premieres in the US on Jan. 19.
While Orlando looked like he was having fun on the red carpet with his movie co-stars, his reunion with estranged wife Miranda Kerr set fans abuzz over the weekend. Miranda and Orlando took Flynn out for a walk in NYC on Saturday, with the tiny tot shaking around a play sword while being carried in Orlando's arms. While the two aren't together, they have been meeting up on what looks like friendly terms in the Big Apple as they divide their time with Flynn.
Three looks made for one very chic weekend, but which dress would you rather wear?
Independent films and actors were the stars of the Gotham Awards, which were held in NYC today. Brie Larson cemented her status as one to watch when she won the Best Actress award for her role in Short Term 12, beating out Hollywood favourites such as Cate Blanchett and Scarlett Johansson. Matthew McConaughey's work in Dallas Buyers Club was recognised in the Best Actor category; Michael B. Jordan won the Breakthrough Actor award for his work in Fruitvale Station, and the film Inside Llewyn Davis took home the top honour of Best Feature. The event was also attended by some of our favourite women on TV, including Rashida Jones and Amy Poehler from Parks and Recreation, and Zosia Mamet from Girls.
More subdued, sure, since it was a monochromatic black pantsuit look, but no less revealing — the look featured a deep v-neck that sliced down nearly to her navel. While we've slowly been getting used to the idea of Selena all grown-up, this is still a pretty sultry look. Do you like it?
This was officially the year of the selfie — in fact, it was so official that the Oxford English Dictionary made it the word of the year for 2013. And because no one really takes a better selfie than the models, designers, and stylists we follow obsessively on all our social media platforms, we've rounded up our 10 favourite fashion selfies of the year, along with some important lessons to ensure we all take even better ones in the year to come.
Find Your Light
Lighting really is everything — and British model Jourdan Dunn can attest to that. She takes some pretty spectacular selfies, all of which look stunning because she's usually very well lit. More selfie tips here.
For some time now, the fashion world has collectively wondered whether boyfriend jeans and distressed denim were passing trends, but lo and behold, fashion-fickle Hollywood is still rocking them. Jennifer Aniston might be the style's patron saint, regularly picking the loose look over second-skin skinnies, but you'll be surprised to hear what other names we've spotted in them (including the eternally polished Olivia Palermo).
