Clearly, Miuccia Prada is a fan of Mad Men. What else would explain Prada's 2010 Autumn/Winter collection? Eisenhower jackets. Capri sets. Dress coats. Demure cocktail dresses. Knit coordinates. Feminine silhouettes, with ruffled necklines and exaggerated bust darts. Sex appeal with nary a flash o' skin. In fact, the only thing missing from the runway was Betty Draper herself. But what gave this very retro vibe a somewhat modern spin—and lifted it from been-there-done-that territory—was the combo of accessory play and funtastic fabrics. Two-toned tights and knee-highs with grand cable stitch accent, oversized two-toned cat glasses, two-toned bow-front heels and Pilgrim pumps...mixed with black and tan pleather, abstract tartans and paisleys to make this collection so very 2010. I'm adoring the oh-so-girly, oh-so-flirty feel, but are you?
