We eagerly await designers' Resort offerings all year — a lesson in sophisticated albeit easy dressing. For 2013, collections are awash in both brilliant colours and prints from the likes of Just Cavalli, whose offerings are rife with his inspiration from India. Add to that the ladylike charm of Alice Temperley's looks, a study in the vintage style of '50s- and '60s-era South of France, and sportier separates from cool-girl style pro Rebecca Minkoff. There's literally something in this lineup to suit the stylish whims of every girl. The latest is a cool crop of lace dresses in neoprene pinks and greens from Valentino, covetable confections done up in cut-outs and brilliant hues from Prabal Gurung, and a flash of metallics (and mirrored shades) via Cynthia Rowley.
