Hi, we're here at the Sony booth and we're gonna get a little check out of the Sony Handycam that comes with a projector. What can you tell us about it?
Well, it's actually one of three models in our lineup that we call Projector Handycam. So it's real easy to shoot your content but, you know, maybe you're having a party at somebody else's house and you want to show your content, you didn't bring the cable, or the TV isn't compatible. We've built a little mini projector into the LCD screen of three of our camcorders so all you have to do is sit it down on a table, find a wall, a t-shirt, a side of your tent, whatever, and you can project up to a 60-inch image on your screen.
OK, great. So this is just, you blast it on the screen. What's the aspect ratio?
Well, it depends on what you record in. The projector model is found on 3 of our high definition camcorders. It also features built-in speakers, so you can hear your video and see it as well. It offers about an 85 minute playback time with the included battery. You've got all the cool features you've come to expect from a handi-cam.
And the best part is the price starts at $699.
Not bad.

When is this available?
They'll be available starting in March of this year.

And you could've had some audio. Can you hook up external speakers to the handycam?
Most definitely. It has a headphone jack and two of the models also feature a mike jack, so if you want to do interviewing and then play it back, you can do that as well.
