Cut-Out Faceoff: Who Wore the Sexy Trend Best?
In the past, punk felt a bit more synonymous with grunge than sex bomb, but last night's Met Gala was ready and willing to change that notion. A slew of starlets stepped out in cut-out gowns that flashed patches of skin for a sultry sizzle. Carey Mulligan toyed with the idea in a Balenciaga gown that revealed her waist, while Jessica Alba picked a sparkling Tory Burch number that put the attention front and centre, courtesy of open patches above and below the bust. Miranda Kerr showed off most of her top half with a Michael Kors T-bar column dress, and Emma Watson felt the punkiest of all in a Prabal Gurung pick that looked slashed at both the shoulder and waist. So, when all's said and done, which sexy cut-out look was your favourite of the night?
2013 Met Gala: Miranda Kerr
Miranda Kerr kept things on the minimal side for her Met Gala look today, donning this sleek cut-out gown by Michael Kors. Her accessories got a dose of punk-y 'tude; a spike-sided snakeskin clutch and bejewelled solid bangles adding some steely power to her otherwise understated look. Do you rate it?

Miranda Kerr Shows Serious Skin at the Met Gala
Miranda Kerr wasn't afraid to show off her body on the red carpet at the 2013 Costume Institute Benefit in NYC today. She wore a sexy black Michael Kors cut-out dress as she sauntered into the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the launch of the Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibit. Miranda is back at the Met Gala after skipping out on last year's event. She famously wore a ballerina-inspired frock to the bash back in 2011. With Biel in black, head-to-toe Tom Ford, Munn in bright canary-yellow Michael Kors, and Claire Danes in a more exotic Lanvin look, the night played host to a spectrum of black-tie ensembles. Kate and Matthew Pair Up For the Star-Studded Hot Pink Party
Kate Hudson wore Ann Taylor and brought Matthew Bellamy with her to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation's annual Hot Pink Party in NYC last night. The couple was joined at the charity bash by a Blumarine-wearing Elizabeth Hurley and Elton John, as well as fashion designers Michael Kors, Vera Wang, and Donna Karan. Kate was doing more than just walking the pink carpet; she also presented an award to Kay Krill, the CEO of ANN Inc., the parent company for Ann Taylor, where Kate serves as a brand ambassador.
Kate has been keeping busy in the Big Apple. She is currently promoting her new film, The Reluctant Fundamentalist, which will screen at the Tribeca Film Festival next week. Despite Kate's work duties, she and Matthew did manage to squeeze in time with their boys in the city ahead of their gala date.
2013 MTV Movie Awards: Kerry Washington
Django Unchained star Kerry Washington keeps on delivering the red carpet goods, stepping out at today's MTV Movie Awards in a dramatic design by Michael Kors. During the red carpet coverage, Karlie Kloss, MTV's House of Style, remarked that her friend wore this exact dress on Michael Kors' A/W '13 runway but that Kerry wore it better. What a compliment! Do you agree?
