She was supposed to bring cancer-stricken patient Kevin McGuire as her date for the show, but unfortunately he was hospitalised and unable to attend; on the weekend Taylor tweeted, “Just talked to Kevin McGuire. He's not well enough to join me at the ACMs. Please keep him in your thoughts. Jennifer Lopez dons boxing garb and reveals a lot of skin for V magazine's Spring sports issue. J Lo graces the cover of the glossy's standard and Spanish editions, which both hit stands tomorrow. The actress and reality judge poses in several midriff-baring ensembles throughout the Rocky-inspired spread, which was shot by Mario Testino. The article is timed to coincide with the upcoming debut of Jennifer's new series Q'Viva. She and ex Marc Anthony are the two lead judges on the Latin-themed TV talent search, and she opens up about the state of their relationship post-split — as well as why the show's emphasis on Latin music spoke to her — in the interview. She also touches on her tough side and reflects on her career misses in her chat with fashion journalist Robin Givhan. Here are some highlights:
- On her relationship with ex Marc Anthony: "I mean, we're parents and friends first. That will be the thread that ties us together. I don't know if people expect it to be negative just because the [intimate] relationship didn't work out."
- On the importance of her Latin roots: "I tried to keep that close to my heart — what I learned growing up . . . When doing Q'Viva, it was kind of reinforcing that, showing how important it is to me and staying connected to that and showing my kids what that's all about."
- On her films and albums that didn't perform so well: "You're not going to hit the bulls' eye every time. That's part of it. . . . I've been in the business now, I don't want to say how many years. You have amazing moments of recognition and success. But at this point in my life, I try to take it all with a grain of salt."

Following Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s surprise split announcement in July, Jennifer shared some of her thoughts on the matter in an interview in the September issue of Vanity Fair. Now Marc Anthony is breaking his silence in an exclusive chat with John Quiñones from ABC’s Nightline in the US. Marc says there was so much speculation about things like infidelity “because it was so shocking. It was like, it must have been something . . . It wasn’t something sensationalistic.” Instead, according to Marc the real reason was “a realisation on both our parts . . . It wasn’t shocking. These things happen.” The most important thing for the former couple is the happiness of their 3-year-old twins, Max and Emme. “I’m always going to be Daddy,” says Marc. See a preview below.
A report from US tabloid In Touch has claimed that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have separated after 13 years of marriage. The Hollywood couple have released a statement to Entertainment Tonight to counter these reports:
Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact.
Will’s son, Trey Smith, also fought the claims on Twitter, where he posted, “Did #WillandJada split? No they did NOT split ! False information ..its not true RETWEET!!!” The rumours also say that Jada had been having an affair with her newly-single HawthoRNe co-star Marc Anthony, but Marc’s rep has said, “We unequivocally deny this. Enough is enough. There are families involved, children involved, friendships involved. This is NOT true.”
Jennifer Lopez is on the cover of Vanity Fair's September 2011 issue, and granted the magazine is her first interview since splitting from husband Marc Anthony. Inside the edition, she spoke about their breakup and what made her decide to walk away. There have been plenty of stories since the news broke last month about why Jennifer and Marc ended things, and now she's giving her side of the story. Jennifer said:
- On knowing when to walk away: "It’s not that I didn’t love myself before. Sometimes we don’t realize that we are compromising ourselves. To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself — if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me. I love myself enough to walk away from that now."
- On her feelings towards Marc: "I will always respect Marc as a singer and performer. We actually work great together, and he was always very supportive. Together we could make magic — and we did. He will always be in our lives. He will always hold a special place in my heart as the father of my children."
When Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony announced on the weekend that they were splitting after seven years together, their statement said it was an “amicable conclusion.” But according to new reports, reasons behind their decision to separate include factors like constant arguments, and Marc’s career jealousy and controlling ways. According to Us Weekly Jennifer’s mother Guadalupe even contacted Jennifer’s former fiancé Ben Affleck for advice and support. Jennifer and Marc weren’t shy about their relationship and shared many loved-up moments on red carpets and at events. The parents of 3-year-old twins Max and Emme will also go ahead with plans for their fashion line collaboration with US retailer Kohl’s.
