We're betting Francesca Eastwood had a pretty good night — the daughter of Clint Eastwood was just named Miss Golden Globe, an honour that's been held by other Hollywood legacies like Rumer Willis and Joely Fisher. To celebrate, Eastwood was joined by a cast of big Hollywood names who stepped out for last night's announcement made by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Among the A-listers, we spotted Diane Kruger proving her fashion-darling status (and flashing her enviable abs) in a Rochas crop top and skirt set, which she finished expertly with a pair of Chanel booties. Malin Akerman also made the rounds in a sexy take on suiting — and a brilliant clutch in tow — while Lea Michele showed a little leg in a slit Valentino gown. As you might have predicted, this Hollywood crew has no shortage of worthy red-carpet ensembles. Click through for the who's who — and who wore what — then tell us your pick for best dressed in the comments.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association and InStyle kicked off celebrations for the 2013 Golden Globes with a party at Cecconi's in LA last night. It was announced that Clint Eastwood's daughter Francesca will be Miss Golden Globe, and she shared her excitement about the role with us on the red carpet. Also in attendance at the bash were Diane Kruger, in a tummy-baring look, and Lea Michele, who mingled with her Glee co-star Chris Colfer. John Krasinski, Jenna Dewan, and Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet made appearances as well, as did a pregnant Malin Akerman. Revenge's Christa B. Allen told us she hopes her onscreen mum, Madeleine Stowe, gets a nomination, while their co-star Gabriel Mann shared that he and the rest of the cast chat about coordinating their outfits before attending the same event. It's just the beginning of the award season fun since the Golden Globes take place on Jan. 13 with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosting.
A bold lipstick can pull together any look, especially when matched to an amazing outfit. Three of Hollywood's finest proved this point flawlessly this week. Nicole Kidman matched her crimson lip colour to her red dress, while Malin Akerman showed off a trendy oxblood shade with both her lipstick and her frock. And Rashida Jones picked a hot-pink hue out of her kaleidoscope ensemble to give her ensemble even more edge. This coordinating look is playful and polished, but who wore it best?
The LA premiere of Nobody Walks brought out a star-studded crowd last night, including the film's writer Lena Dunham and star Olivia Thirlby. Malin Akerman, wearing Hugo Boss, also joined Nicky Hilton and Isabel Lucas. Malin, who's expecting her first child with husband of five years Roberto Zincone, posed for photographers before heading inside the screening. Malin announced that she's expecting late last week, and didn't waste much time before celebrating at Saturday's Environmental Media Awards alongside Ian Somerhalder, Jessica Alba and Emily VanCamp.
The debut went on without the film's leading man John Krasinski, who was spotted in London over the weekend attending his sister-in-law Felicty Blunt's wedding to Stanley Tucci.
The 2012 Environmental Media Awards took place in LA on Saturday night, with plenty of stars stepping out for the show. Jessica Alba, who was honoured with the Green Parent Award, wore Narisco Rodriguez as she posed on the green carpet with husband Cash Warren. Ian Somerhalder travelled from the Vampire Diaries set in Georgia to accept his Futures Award while other celebrities were on hand to show their support. Pregnant Malin Akerman covered her growing bump in a red dress, and Revenge's Emily VanCamp went bright in pink just a day ahead of the season two US premiere of her small-screen hit. Also out for the annual EMAs were Amy Smart and her husband, Carter Oosterhouse, Gabrielle Reece, Cody Horn, Lance Bass and more. Click through to see them all!
Malin Akerman is pregnant with her first child with husband Roberto Zincone. She and Roberto, who is the drummer for The Petalstones, have been married for five years. Malin stepped out to visit a friend after revealing the news today. Malin wore a black dress for the outing, though there was no sign of a baby bump just yet. It's been a busy year for the actress, who had Wanderlust and Rock of Ages hit US theatres and stars in the TV hit Suburgatory. In addition to mum, Malin's already lining up her next roles and is connected to the big-screen adaptation of This Is Where I Leave You. Congratulations, Malin and Roberto!
GenArt hosted an event late last week with fashion alum Vena Cava at Chateau Marmont to fête the launch of their A/W collection. Inspired by Noir films from the 1940s, the collection, designer Sophie Buhai explained, is packed with bold prints and strong silhouettes. The brand is known for its cool collaborations, and its latest venture is to create the perfect band tee. Celebrities including Malin Akerman, Sophia Bush, and Busy Philipps were just a few of the stylish stars who attended the fashionable soirée. Watch today's Fab Flash to hear more from Sophie!
InStyle's 11th Annual Summer Soirée on Wednesday night had us craving the sunshine even more than we were already! Stars including Jaime King, Sophia Bush, Khloé Kardashian and Nikki Reed were out in a series of floaty and floral frocks, and the beauty on show was inspiring. Sophia wowed us with her balayage and dark red lips, while Jaime looked polished and very feminine with a sleek ponytail (ah, the power of a good pony!). There was even a cute headband offering from a now brunette Australian export Emilie de Ravin. Click through and don't forget to zoom!
